@@frankmfjames1908 why would you ask a commenter about it? First off, if you watched the video then you'd understand that you need to fully extend the elbow to filly engage the long head. There aren't any shortcuts or work around. If there were then you'd see it in the video or people would do that exercise and make videos on it instead of the ones demonstrated. You must fully extend; if you can't, then you won't get maximum benefit from the excercise.
@@frankmfjames1908 I'd suggest during the movements when you get to that "stopping point" where you can't extend the arms any farther, to hold in that "stopped point" for a few seconds. The muscle tension in the ends will increase by the static load.

measurements r wastea time i think, i go by mirror, its an overall big strong powerful lean healthy n intimidating look i going for, same look i wanted since i first started reading n training a little bit when at was 12.5yrs old, n now im 33.5 n even with all injuries n crap i went thru including a tbi at 15.5 n partial paralysis on left side i still have nearly reached that look, just few areas to shape up little n some bodyfat to drop n i'll be that look i want, so as long as i do not lose too much musclemass when dieting in about a year i'll take a picture of me pumped oiled n top notch hang it on my wall, n then taking a one week vacation, but yes i train on vacay still i just dont do things i dont enjoy like ALL cardio other than mma drills n walking i hate so stepper i cut out for week minielliptical cut out cardio rower cutout HIIT cardio exercises cut out. but I still train my Neck n it's jus over 20in now n im about 6wk into cutting so phase 2 of 6.

I'm 54 now, but in my early teens I began weight training. I was dedicated to it until I got married at 23. Then only when I could make time between working and getting ahead and the wife. Now I'm single and have been dedicating myself again to what I've always enjoyed. Luckily, my career as a plumber has kept me in good shape over the years as it is a physically demanding job. I found your videos and watch all of them. Some multiple times. The have given me more knowledge and motivation. My goal is to be more lean and defined than I ever have. Your videos have given me more defining movements that I really enjoy and I now have more knowledge on nutrition and eating right. I haven't been able to return to the gym yet, but I have enjoyed doing your workouts with no weights. I am recovering from a hip replacement and rotator cuff surgery. Commit to doing it and don't let the possibility of backing out enter your head. Basically, think of it like you don't have a choice. After a while you'll start enjoying it.
Listen to your favorite music while you exercise. It works for me. I always feel motivated and it keeps pushing for 45 minutes to an hour during each workout.

Hell i wish u was my outpatient pt when i got outa the hosp in may 2002 i'da prolly tripled my pretty damn good size n strength gains ive made n my joints especially my shoulders wouldn't be so dang messed up. i've watched 4 or 5vids today tried all back stuff in back workout worked great! in those 5vids i have learned more than i did about exercising than i did in the 2 year assoc degree fitness tech course i graduated from in 06. 99.5% of what i know is from my own reading n watching n training not School BS. its not only how hard u train, its how smart, its not how much weight you lift, but how you lift it, n u say that better than every person I read. Commit to doing it and don't let the possibility of backing out enter your head. Basically, think of it like you don't have a choice. After a while you'll start enjoying it.
Every morning delete your UA-cam App, simple.
Listen to your favorite music while you exercise. It works for me. I always feel motivated and it keeps pushing for 45 minutes to an hour during each workout.
