great content as always. think its worth noting that Seatin is 100% right that full pierce on the offensive pieces is right but an alt. approach to taking defense on the 2 piece is to take crit damage, so u have a attack and crit damage set. his crit chance is already really high naturally so crit damage really piles on.
hey seating can you try something. I dont have the resources to test this. But I was looking threw everything. And I noticed green Hendrickson has a passive to increase pierce for every card used. So i put it to the test and it works from the back row and can give up to an extra 50% pierce on b meli so say you have 115 pierce on the first attack. On the next you will have 120. So if you use his corrosion then his attack he would have 125 pierce for that attack.
If you want to do a crazy amount of burst then you can switch his set to atk/crit dmg since he crits often and the extra crit damage can allow you to have extra burst especially against more tanky opponents. Also, another thing to look at is when swapping between atk rolls and pierce rolls you lose about 2k cc on demon meli, so if you want to get your cc a little higher without losing too much damage you can go half atk and half pierce rolls. Of course, the maximum amount of damage will be from full pierce, but going first is also important.
I'm gonna wait until Blue Lilia comes to Global so i can try them together before investing into an SSR Pierce attack/defense set. If i'm not mistaken, when she comes out, pure attack is better for Meliodas, as pierce decreases in value comparing it to raw attack when you reach like the 100%+ pierce rate while going full attack.

This build is only viable until Blue Lilia comes out. When she arrives you just give him atk substats for better CC. IMO it's not worth wasting anvils on a pen set for like a couple of weeks ...
Crit damage set in the place of defence set is better. The defence has no big impact on the CC. Escanor will be a real threat anyway. Demon Meliodas has a good potential to crit on every hit (high crit chance). Also his base crit damage is pretty high ( I think it's 150%). Just use Red Griamore or Green Githunder in the Sub slot to have more surviving chance.
Ok so thats fair and all. Pierce set does do more for now although for regular players its better to just invest in attack. Because like howser his damage should fall off when we do stronger content. And farming with lilia i think makes pierce gear obsolete plus the bow unit gives more pierce over time which closes the gap between just a single unit and the maxed pierce gear. The bow unit can be placed in the 4th slot and will not be needed for more than that. Over all I think that pierce gear isn't worth that much since other units can passively give attack related stats or pierce. Then you can just use the normal attack defense gear with any other unit as a swich.
With blue Lilia, blue DMeli is beast, but problem is red Skinny KIng and his passive that cut off your base and additional pierce rate by half in pvp. So without red Skinny KIng on sub you are 1shoted by pierce team.
Can you test gilthunder as sub? I need to see if he is as good as GRIAMORE... because i have gilthunder maxed and dont wanna waste resources on griamore to test

Don’t worry bro, I had to go 1,000 Gems deep to get Gowther, sometimes you’ll get shafted proper hard, other times you’re going to get insane luck, it’s the nature of these games man!
If you want more damage is better to equip him with attack and crit damage... Merlin will give more crit chance so he is almost everytime hiting with crits
i think planning ahead, i might still just build him with atk gear, so i can use his ur gear on lostvayne meli whenever he does come to global, since they share ur gear.

If you got perfect attack rolls, NEVER reroll. Use attack/ pierce or invest in a new equipment... perfect atk stats is super rare.. by the way i got a perfect atk on my ring too...i Will leave this ring to full atk and start a new one for pierce
The ONLY reason seatin able to do full pierce build cus he's top tier player with high cc, if you're not one of them DONT or you will get yeeted by other dmeli team whom goes first cus they win over your cc due to your pierce substat

Demon meliodas is better in the right side of the team i think since two bronze pierce cards are better than 1 silver card, since his multiplier are super low(in terms of change between ranks)

In my eyes you should never use R gear unless it's the crit damage set. Run commons or SSR as the substat have the same % it's just the main value that's different. And it's like 3 million gold for a full R gear
And sadly i dont have the Howzer UR pierce weapon, and still works for me on pvp... i realize if i dont have really good substats on my SSR right side equipment, is better to use R with insane subs until you have enought anvils to change

Was wondering if anyone tried out a 4 attack and 2 lifesteal instead of defense? I have been thinking and he would have around 34% lifesteal with no rolls so he would heal quite a bit. Any thoughts?
Understanding how UR sets work is really important when gearing for this. If you're just using an SSR set then pierce is a great way to gear blue demon meli, but when you make a UR set for him it's gonna have to be different. UR sets only work on the character they were created for (So only meliodas characters can use a UR set if it was created for them) and they are VERY expensive to make for free to plays. Given that ALL of the meliodas units will likely share the UR gear, it's better to have attack roles for him than it is to have pierce, because that's Blue demon meli's gimmick only, not counter meli or green demon meli or red demon meli or SR meli or Lostvayne meli. You could make a Meli Pierce UR set once you've gotten all of the UR sets you need, but it's not the first priority.
Saw a video of Nagato trying half pierce / half attack and compared to full pierce he got some better damage outputactually. Do you still go full pierce ? ^^
I may be wrong causei just skipped around in the video but from the comments it seems you didn't test the 50/50 atk/pierce set which is more reliable and overall the best way to gear blue meli

you should try doing a half-n-half my guy. I mean half pierce and half attack on ur bracelet/ring . The little attack percentage gives it more "juice"

If you want to go for the 3x ult, red demon meliodas is probably better because of the ignite debuff.

If you are low in cc keep attack. Pierce doesn't help with cp, and arguably going first is more important than the damage anyways.

I play jp for like 7 months, and i am f2p. I built half pierce half attack set, and it works better then full peirce set.
That is what I'm doing atm. 3 attack and 2 pierce on bracer and the opposite on ring.

Found him too squishy with that and he’s already got a ton of base crit damage! Think defence is better in the current meta imo!

My howzer has a 29% pierce rate R ring.... for me definitely is better on the right side put an almost perfect ring than a SSR with 20% pierce rate

Understanding how UR sets work is really important when gearing for this. If you're just using an SSR set then pierce is a great way to gear blue demon meli, but when you make a UR set for him it's gonna have to be different. UR sets only work on the character they were created for (So only meliodas characters can use a UR set if it was created for them) and they are VERY expensive to make for free to plays. Given that ALL of the meliodas units will likely share the UR gear, it's better to have attack roles for him than it is to have pierce, because that's Blue demon meli's gimmick only, not counter meli or green demon meli or red demon meli or SR meli or Lostvayne meli. You could make a Meli Pierce UR set once you've gotten all of the UR sets you need, but it's not the first priority.

Saw a video of Nagato trying half pierce / half attack and compared to full pierce he got some better damage outputactually. Do you still go full pierce ? ^^
I may be wrong causei just skipped around in the video but from the comments it seems you didn't test the 50/50 atk/pierce set which is more reliable and overall the best way to gear blue meli
he just want to maximise pierce since valenty not coming yet.
Would this work for Red Escanor when he come's out cause he has 80% Pierce rate?
No since escanors damage doesent come from pierce, but from his high multiplier and attack stat.
