Idk man. It took me a while to get on board with Spiritbox but once I saw the full vision of what they were trying to do it all clicked for me. Sleep Token I've liked since day one. Since Sundowning (first album I had heard of theirs). Maybe I just need an EP or album to fully understand them. Just seems like it's missing the metal. If you want to say this is post hardcore or alt pop I'm with you on that.
Love all the songs so far. Didn't listen to anything else all Friday! The mix of elements reminds me of Deftones, but I've said that about Spiritbox too. Very excited for Breakk.away!

I'm looking forward to hearing different styles from the vocalist in future releases because i feel like she's gonna be the best of both worlds. alt & "mainstream", if you will. she's already good so far & i can't wait to hear more songs that will take her to the next level

The opening 30 ish seconds remind me of similar female fronted band, The Artificials. Granted I haven't heard too many songs by them, but they have the same calm vocals vs heavy bass and overdrive guitar aesthetic in most of their songs.
I feel like the only thing similar between these guys and Spiritbox is that continuous growing hype around their first handful of songs. If they stay on this path they’ll be that next big thing.

Sleep Token. That reference sets the bar pretty damn high, it's not even possible for fans to take even casual references to them lightly. So here... I was looking for a full range of very dynamic vocals and effortless genre switches in music and singing. Sleep Token's soundscapes, song structures, lyrics, timing, and vocals are unmatched. Didn't hear a single one of those elements here. This song wasn't bad, but it's barely above what I can pop out of a music AI in about 2 minutes. It's sounds like AI. No hate, sparingly use the ST reference as it sets to bar too high maybe?
