- With the release of the Rain World Downpour DLC, the infamous Jolly Co-op mod has been officially integrated into the game. My friends and I decided to give the Survivor campaign a go (while slightly tipsy) and it went about as well as you might expect.
When this footage was recorded I was midway through a solo Artificer playthrough (having beaten Hunter and Survivor already) while Kian had played as far as Shoreline on his own and Tomas had never really played outside of arenas. This made for an even more hilarious experience, especially considering all three of us decided to play as the explosion-prone Artificer.

also the shockwave arti has (hold down and explody jump knocks creatures down)
and the ehh (forgot the name, but if you hold a stunned creature and hold grab you will damage it)
these two are a really strong combo to stunlock lizards and stuff (but not good for something that has a lot of health cuz the overheating)
idk if u used these but they werent at the start :)

I don't know if it works for you, but by grabbing a player and then hold the grab button you can give them a piggyback ride :D

Arti can hold down and explode to stun nearby stuff and parry spears, i literally did not know that was a mechanic through my entire playthrough lol
Also, if you are in a shelter behind the closed gate, it should count. Lizards or other creatures who get stuck that way wake up with you. If you leave though, it probably stops counting. So just sitting there and waiting i think theoretically should be safe and not count as a death
Haven't tried it with coop though so who knows maybe not

Even though you're artificer, you're on the survivor campaign, meaning that scavengers are neutral toward you in the beginning like survivor.

either way we are planning to bomb our way through any scavenger-related problem in the future 👍

@@v_crimson77 I think lizards were created for the cleaning pipes because they're can eat small creatures and they can go more pipes than slugcats.

I'm kinda sad that artificer and sometimes spearmaster are the only slugcats people want to play. The other slugcats are really cool but people never play them. Especially saint, and rivulet is pretty close too. Saint is an endangered species lol it basically doesn't exist, nobody wants to play it
EDIT: Now that people have had time to try out all the slugcats (and unlock all of them) I've been seeing a major boost in variety! I have even seen people playing Saint, even with their friends. I played co-op with a friend recently, and my friend played Saint.
oh yeah trust me i wouldve played rivulet 100%, just didnt have them unlocked at the time lol
Having to clear the game as both rivulet and spearmaster seems the most likely reason why saint is not played, tbh
in my group we have artificer, spearmaster, rivulet and saint, it's very diverse, I love all of the slugcats

@@noideawhoiam3855 I got through most of one campaign before being ultra-sidetracked by other matters(school). I think it's pretty interesting, it just has a large learning curve that can deter some people from really engaging with it's mechanics. So far I give it 8/10

The DLC should have just been the new Slugcats. The co-op should have just been update content.
It's actually a free mod, and the DLC simply makes its installation a lot easier
@@nyx9985 they don’t update the mod to work with the latest version, though. It became deprecated in favour of paywalling it.
