@HansWurstusBrachialus I didn't make the scale, they say it at the end of every video they do. Watch, pay attention and you might learn a thing or two.
It's a sunset on wheels! The base color is a little hidden under the layers, but the result is still fantastic: 4.8/5 it's a real close one for me. If it had been just that shade closer to the PCP, but it is worth the full five for being this good.
This really reminds me of the colors you get when you temper steel. Gold fading in and out of purple is a color combo I see on steel fencing blades all the time, since they temper slightly unevenly where they're thicker/thinner. It's one of my favorite color combos 5/5
Comes through with the hay gold too

I'd put a bunch of colours on a 'wheel of fortune' type wheel, clickers an all, then spin it 1 time each, coin toss for who gets base and who gets pearl spin?

I like it. The purple shows through but is a little lackluster. Would like to see a hypershift with a purple to blue type fade over purple
5 from me. It's so pretty I'd be afraid to drive it because I'd get mad if it got scratched up. 😂

Anyone else find Fonz’s speaking voice and cadence really comforting? He’s a natural, I feel like he could sell me anything, he just has a really convincing tone and I love his enthusiasm. Gabe is great too, their personalities are very different but they play well off each other.
There's a neat trick in the Minatures painting world where if you base a model PINK, and the layer it Lemon Yellow, you get a very robust Sunshine Yellow. This video brought that idea to the forefront of my painting experiences.
I'd be willing to place money you'd get a solidly robust Corvette yellow out of something like that. And if you can do it and maintain the interference in some way, I think it'd be a killer experience.
While I'm not a fan of the color combination (I'm more of a blues and greens sort of guy), this is not a bad combination. It genuinely looks good and the way that the purple shines through every now and again really makes it pop.

The purple base was unusual, it has a lot of potential with many different color pearls and shifts.
That’s actually one of the most subtly badass ones you’ve done! I dig that stripe of gray shimmer when you go around as the plum cancels out the yellow in the gold, but close in the red hits the purple and you get almost magenta in there. You won this one, that ain’t lackluster!
On a scale of 1 to 5 I give this combo a 9.5!!! This is friggen GORGEOUS!!!!! Well done gentlemen!!!
Love this one, some of my favorite hues playing across the palette with the rootbeer, copper, rose and violet. And thanks for getting Gabe more involved and on camera, I always enjoy his input, wish he participated even more.
I think this is my favorite combination you've done. Pink and purple are my favorite colors and the ZTF over purple brings out all my favorite hues plus that punch of sunset shades make for a super gorgeous end result.
This was my suggestion in the comments from the last video. I never thought it would happen; Plum Crazy Purple with a Blood Red Hypershift. It’s absolutely astonishing

I'm going to go with a 4, the direct view shimmering purple is amazing (like the side at 7:18) with the different hues coming through but i'm not a fan of the green/bronze at the extreme angles. Perhaps a couple of episodes where you have the names of colours and pearls in a bag and blind pick would be fun.
Agree with you on your view, the highlights on this one is not that great for me either, but I love the whole project and it turned out a solid 4.5 for me, it's just the extreme angles that put me off a bit 🙈 if it was toned back to an orange or even perhaps a dark orange gold itself, great, but the almost faded yellow mustard vibe doesn't fit unfortunately. But I guess that's only because Gabe sent that "negative energy" into the blend 😂

This might be a crazy idea but hear me out: split the paint job in half, but apply different colorshift pigments to the same base coat, like the black-to-blue on one half, and the red-to-black on the other half and see if you can make an old school 3d glasses effect

5 out of 5 this pearl/base combination is AWESOME! You guys should start selling these combinations as pre-packaged kits.
This has to be my FAVORITE color from you guys, regardless of hyper shift or pearls, or other ways of color change. Solid 5 from me. Firstly, the plum is super easy and sultry on the eyes, and then you get smacked and realest in by the stark contrast of the golden red. It is just, like I said, mh personal favorite, and I believe you guys should do more just like this. Stuff that is like, off the wall, you think about and your like, that might not work. But try anyway. Because the results my friend...... Nothing short of beauty. Hey. Thanks for making these videos and taking the time to drive the car around in you're lot and show us the full range of these colors. You guys do just the best work dipping cars. Keep up the great work. And I look forward to watching more off the wall stuff like this again man.
Solid 5 while not being of my personal taste in colors. The only criticism that I can give is that I feel it lost a little too much of the purple. Perhaps a little lower of a pigment load and it would have been incredible in my opinion. 2.5-3 grams per gallon. The gold is a little overpowering. Again, that's just me.
Good idea getting Gabe's thoughts on the final product as well. I'm sure everyone wants to know both of your thoughts on the final product. Maybe have one where you two switch spots with one of Gabe's crazy ideas. We can see the wheels turning in his head. Go for it. It's about having fun. Ooooo! Let him paint your car.
That color on its own over black looks so fucking good
Edit: that looks INCREDIBLE I love how the purple picks up right where the reddish/pink color stops. Kinda turns it into a gold to purple shift with every color in between. 5/5
Not far off from the Rose Gold you were after before, a few tweaks could get that locked in. Nice color combo overall! Still holding out for the copper/aqua combo!

This color combo works really well on the Mustang because of its 'lines', don't know how it would show on the Audi or Lancer
nice finish and color shifting. purple kinda gets a bit more pinkish than I'd like though.
Mate, this is nice. I can’t wait to start doing this stuff to my airsoft replicas. Got most of my tools already just looking for a good day to start.
My rating is 5. I’m partial to blue but I want to see this on more stuff.
After seeing how this turned out I'm really curious now how the blue/black shift would look over a red or gold/yellow base. Or even potentially a really bright green, though it may end up not working at all.

4. It turned out well. I enjoy that you are showing us something other than a black base. I would still like to see a comparison with a black base vs a white base with the same hypershift. A 1/2 and 1/2 car.

Okay, I LOVE this! 5/5. The purple shows but with a really gold-pink over it. Reminds me of some of the colors you see on raku pottery.

This is one of my very favorites! I would prefer if the Plum Crazy Purple showed more, but a lower pigment load might work. It's not as in your face glorious like a bright teal with lime and gold shifts, but for cars I am more impressed with understated elegance. This has all the color without the need to be in your face about it.

I'm actually pleasantly Surprised. I Can't Stand Gold anything on a Car, I think it looks Tacky and Cheap. But this gives a very subtle hints of gold. Very nice color. Great job guys.

Strong 4.5! And, I only take away the 0.5 because I think it would've been better if it was even lighter. The shift over powers the purple from every angle, I wanted to see the purple shine through. But it looks so damn cool.

UA-cam must hate your channel man. I've been following for a while now and your channel never pops up in my feed, rarely even does your channel pop up in my list of subscriptions. I have to search for you every week when I watch your friday videos. As for the color, it was a hit. Even the brown that the purple and gold makes is nice.
Looks amazing! Wish the base coat had golden accents though. Just a gold strip, or some lines, but the coolest would be a hyper realistic flame job. Then hyper shift on top.
