Hello Martin, love your content. Been watching from the beginning and I watch you some on Brülosophy. Would it be a bother to ask you some questions on brewing and your technique?
Hey Martin. I love the brewery! I am enjoying watching the upgrades. You have given me some good ideas. I love how it is all organized! Keep up the great work!
Next? Glycol chiller! But then you'd have to upgrade your fermenters. Expensive but I do love having my 3 fermenters and glycol chiller, no need to freezers and can do any temp on any of them.
Hey Martin, what are your plans for finishing your basement? Will you complete it after your quest for the 99 beers? All it really needs is some Sheetrock and some paint is good to go. Unless you want to do more creative things for your man cave.
great video! I'm also making all the BJCP beers and just did this one as well. Came out to 7.4%. I might bump up the grains a bit and make it the house doppelbock.
whilst decorating my loft conversion this week ive listened to all your challenge videos about 3 times in a row now 😂😂 am curious as to what your day job is? hoping to get a brew on tonight back here in kent uk
Hello Martin! Me and a couple of pals are brewing a bock lager of sorts and it is time to bottle it. Sadly, because of covid, we cannot meet to bottle it together right now. The fermentation stopped about 3 weeks ago so i imagine there is still some yeast kicking around in suspension which would be ideal for us as we plan to carbonate with bottle fermentation. For how long do you think the yeast will stay alive? Im using a Saflager s-189 at 19 deg.celsius, any tips appreciated :)
Great review love the costume!

We need more Roy!
I Admire your production quality and the time you are putting in to these videos. It really shows in the finished product. Great job! 👍🏻
Thank you! 🙏
I brewed this beer 3 weeks ago and really looking forward to trying it in late December.
I think I'll use Roy's technique for the first one.
Love the studio. I only to get brew in my kitchen so I’m very jealous!
Maybe your most solid recipe yet
Great set up and love your channel!

Oh man... a glycol chiller is the dream!
Cheers from Croatia!

How much water was used in this?

Yeah that would be awesome. Sheetrock and epoxy on the floor. Then decorate the walls with beer brewing stuff.
Great video mate -
Luv your work 🍻
Cool channel what do you think of your unibrau system?I’m thinking of getting one
Yes have enjoyed using it. Makes brew days easy
what temp did you do the fermentation?
Have you tried growing your own hops
No but I have a friend with a farm who is planning to do just that next spring.

Awesome. Are you recording this anywhere (such as the recipes you are using)? Would love to compare notes.
@@TheHomebrewChallenge I'm blogging all the entries here:

Lol. I work for an IT company.
Love your videos. Wondering what type of efficiency you get with the Brau system?
Around 68%.. bit less for high gravity beers.
It’s a sipper 😂🤣😅 that’s how to polish off a beer!! 🇬🇧
I've been interested in making a stand for my mill too. If you find any good ways to do it, let me know!
Dunkles Bock....i'm sure you can get some ointment for that now!
Looks amazing! Wondering how many weeks did you let it ferment and lager?
How long did you ferment it for?
Just found your channel today, love it. I do have a question, do you start with RO water? Is so, could you explain that in your recipe?
Thanks. I use filtered tap water. There’s a video where I did give RO water a shot.

Will you be brewing any Irish exports or similar styles soon ?
Yeah they’re coming. Down in section 15 of the style guidelines (I’m at section 6 currently).
@@TheHomebrewChallenge I jumped the gun there lol. I am a huge fan of really malt forward brews. I push for it at my brewing team.
Roy is so charming :)
So with this lager yeast, what was your fermentation schedule?
Fermented at 50F raising to 55F. when fermentation was done rose to 65F, cold crashed, packaged and lagered for about 5 weeks.
damn, that looks good....send me a keg...lol
Saints and Devils, would that be Southampton and Man Utd?
Why yes it is! I’m impressed... not many people make that association.
@@TheHomebrewChallenge i am English and my mates son was captain of Southampton in the 90's, Jason Dodd
I was at the game when Dodd scored directly from a corner kick against Portsmouth. Won’t forget that one!
@@TheHomebrewChallenge small world, i now live in Melbourne, but am from Bath where Jason is from.
Boom beer gone!
I blinked and there was an empty glass...
Roy looks like he's has 5 pints of a start.
This must be American, you can always tell when their brew room / garage is larger than my family home.
It is a sipping beer … 😂🤣
