We’re better off without these kinds of tourists like and that police officer is a one woman army of her own need her in Scotland to sort this lot up hear out
I think she was referring to taking pictures, which is allowed as long as it's from a respectful distance and people don't bother the soldiers or interfere with their duties, but her students were taking pictures in a very disrespectful way, getting way too close to the soldier and blocking his path. If she allowed this she obviously has no respect for British laws and culture either.
It is allowed. Nothing illegal about being disrespectful. Just stupid though - especially in a context such as this. I serve as a UK police officer and I too would have turfed them out - but it's not illegal or "not allowed"...
The officer told the teacher the students were being disrespectful, and the teacher has the audacity to ask, "that isn't allowed?"🤯🤯 Hell no it's not allowed!!🤬🤬 I'm pretty sure being disrespectful to soldiers in their country wouldn't be allowed and would likely be met with more than just a few "stern words"! Unfecking believable!🤬🤬🤬
I had to go back and listen over & over again, as I couldn’t quite pick up on what that so-called teacher said when the officers confronted them. What a poor excuse of a frickin’ teacher! First, she was laughing with and at her students’ disgusting behavior; then for her to actually think that the disrespect is allowed is mindblowing. I mean, come on now! She’s either stuck on stupid, just doesn’t care, or both!! She definitely shouldn’t be allowed to chaperone or (attempt to) teach anyone else’s children, that’s for damn sure. And way to show her own disrespect & lack of class by saying “We’re leaving”, then walking away in a huff without even attempting to apologize for their behavior once they all were set straight by the police officer.
Disrespect seems to be a norm in all aspects of life now, not only here. Thanks to Buska and John for capturing what goes on so that we can all learn and adjust.
Hi Jane you are so right about the disrespect. It is Everywhere all over the world. Many people have become so self absorbed, it's all about them and bugger everyone else. The British have become far too tolerant of disrespect of their historical places and their culture in general. When I was visiting an ancient temple in Japan with my sister and 10-year-old nephew, my nephew sat down on the steps leading up to one of the buildings. A uniformed security officer from all the way across the yard immediately spotted him and gestured for him to get up, which he did, then the officer saluted him.
