The name of this song is a reference to michael moorcock's elric of melnibone.
There is nothing cooler than metal influenced by fantasy literature!

What better inspiration - the Elric saga is great. Michael Moorcock is great. Those books got me into reading, and I ended up reading all the Eternal Champion stuff. It also got me into Hawkwind (via The Chronicle of the Black Sword) - how I wish I could have seen them on that tour.
