- This cartoon is literally everywhere on UA-cam. But this copy has.... one important distinction.
Unlike my other vids, this one comes from a domestic VHS source from 1983. Even though the difference isn't as striking, I'd say it still looks a little better than the others. - Фільми й анімація
My favorite cartoon as a child. This brings back a lot of memories. Watching cartoons at Nana's house.
Probably the only Little Lulu cartoon I saw as a kid where Lulu herself had absolutely no dialogue.

I remember this being part of a cartoon package. also watched some cartoon with a whole bunch of celebs at a dinner party. Can't remember what it was called though. Brilliant.

The only cartoon where Little Lulu does not talk at all except for her consciences.
Back when it was clear on VHS, I think the writing on the chalkboard said something like "I will never play hooky again." for anyone that cares.
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes from Lulu. There's also a similar episode about fishing with Little Audrey called "Seapreme Court", but the theme is more about "Human's crimes against fish folk" rather than about skipping school.

You’re right! And ‘Bout with a Trout’ as well as ‘Seapreme Court’ both appear on the Felix the Cat compilation VHS.

The funny thing about this cartoon is that the story was co-written by Izzy (Isadore) Klein, (the creator of Terrytoons cartoon star Mighty Mouse). I'll assume that he quit his job at Terrytoons to work for Famous Studios(which would eventually change its name to Paramount Cartoon Studios before it closed down for good in 1967)*
Why won't they make copies of Famous Studios cartoons just like this one, Fright to the Finish, Out to Punch, Taxi Turvey, and A Haul in One? I like it.

i wish my childhood consisted of lulu and not the hannah montana crap i grew up with. ive only seen this one and the dog show off this on being my favourite.

had (and still have) a vhs of 6 hours of cartoons called the 50 Classic All Star Cartoons, defientaly one of my favorites growing up, loves the song...even if I didn't get the reference to the singers LOL
