Fun fact : Dinosauria have become so famous that the people of the famous "Beast of the Mesozoïc" figures line have made a special version of their own Styracosaurus they put as Old Buck from this first episode short.
The special figure is avaible to buy at their company along their original Styracosaurus model as well than the rest of their Ceratopsian Series !

I wonder if the Old Buck's behavior of stabbing his rivals with his nasal horn is an abnormal behavior that isn't present in any other Styracosaurus males. Maybe that's why he's so old yet still has a harem, because all of his challengers never live to challenge him again. That may be also why the Daspletosaurus looked so shocked when Old Buck stabbed Young Buck.

Have you seen the entire series already? If you watch Dead sound's making of series, he goes over where he did and didn't stick to realism and for what reasons. Really great watch, almost better than Dinosauria itself dare I say.

This one is my personal favourite of the Dinosauria series because of the soundtrack, colours and the fact I love ceratopsids. I enjoyed your review and I'm looking forward to seeing your reviews on the other episodes in the series.

Even snakes has rules in fight for females. Do not kill. Polarbears olso has rules they dont even bite in figh for domenamce (for food is different story) There is olso many way to give up fight for dogs and cats olso. I love every other episode for ke this is the only one bad. And why the joing one didnt killed Buck when je was laying pn his side by dead sound logic?

Just like the frill spikes, the nasal horns also varied in shape, both forward and more vertical with a slight backwards recurve

Also worth to say that the Daspletosaurus came attracted for the blood scent, no for nothing Dead Sound showed us the Old Buck's blood falling in that moment

One of my favorite shorts of Death Sound is the one called Sharp-Teeth, which centers around Triceratops and T-Rex. Without spoiling too much, it would seem at first like the typical "herbivores good, carnivores bad", but its actually not so black-white-white.

Do we have any evidence that the asymmetry on the skull that inspired the young male really is pathological? Animal ornamentation is very rarely perfectly symmetrical, in fact it was proven in some cases (with the antlers of deer and the tails of swallows I think) that symmetry is directly linked to individual fitness.
