Hi Curcuit! Long time no watch! I genuinely thought you’d quit yt/minecraft as there were no updates from your main channel or a link to this channel in your channels page! Glad I’ve found you again :)
has to be done before the dragon starts any part of its death animation (even the flying to the center part). its maybe faster if done at the start before the arrow shot but who knows if the timing works
That should work yeah, I'm just lazy and thought this was fun lol. optimizing it would take a bit of brainpower but the timing is probably way more flexible. maybe borders on a sub 20?
@@karlll3321 They just help you place a block reaaally high up at 0,0, so the dragon just has to fly to that after dying instead of all the way down to the fountain
Great find Circuit! 1: Is it possible to manipulate the position of the player relative to the tickle point to optimize the fight? 2: If player position relative to the tickle spot is relevant, could an evolutionary algorithm/PSO be more suitable than a brute force method to find an optimal dragon-killing time? Brute force doesn't scale well with more degrees of freedom edit: i misunderstood how the knockback worked, turns out the player position when firing the bow won't affect anything. Maybe Punch on the bow can change something, or pearling to a pillar to give the arrow more downwards kb?
Yeah the only part that matters for player position is the knockback itself(which is just horizontal). There's already too many things to go through _everything_, but it's all so continuous that I'm pretty confident I found what I was looking for at least. There is potential for a ridiculous float precise trick that could save time, but I wouldn't even know how to go about that atm. Maybe there's potential for shooting more arrows before the final blow but that gets messy
Since in the video you say that the dragon starts its animation after arriving 10 blocks above the highest block at 0,0, would it not be possible to perhaps build up from the pillar of the center fountain to start the dragon animation slightly faster?
yea! the _fastest_ end fights will probably do something like that, but you need a lot of blocks for it to be worth it, so i wanted to explore this as well. (Mostly because the dragon only decides on the block to go to as soon as it dies, so you have to do the building before killing it)
i suppose if you go crazy and place a bunch of blocks up before killing the dragon you could maybe save time? like if you found a way to quickly tower up at the fountain right before killing the dragon
Yeah almost certainly,,, the easiest is either using twisting vines or by building a bridge from the pillars(ua-cam.com/video/l8wD4BQWu2I/v-deo.html). I just figured this was worth looking at too(plus it's easier than tasing those lol)
my videos are specifically designed to be the exact opposite of subway surfer soap cutting family guy videos in order to weed out the weak(it's me I'm the weak i could not sit through this video)
If you put out a practice map that puts the player at the perfect position with an incoming dragon to practice the pearl/bow timing like every few seconds I will spend so many hours to test this viability. I've tried this a bit myself but with all the variables involved plus practice map I haven't been able to do it once and I don't know if its the timing or positioning or both.
For pearling directly into the dragon and shooting? You'd prolly never get the positioning by trying to mimic the TAS. You'd maybe have to just find a position similar to my rta attempts and throw straight up, but it'd still be like 10+x worse just rng-wise Either or it would be neat to have a map(or an edit of the zero cycle map), since it could also tell you stuff like the velocity you got or whether you shot early/late. But you'd probably have to wait for the dragon to fly in from the start for it to be accurate
@@CurcuitStore Ya I just mean instead of the zero cycle map where you have to pearl and place blocks and get into position, to just have a map where youd press a button and it places you on a block in perfect position so you could pearl straight down and bow afterwards. It would make practicing timing way more efficient to see if this would be rta viable. based on what you've said idk if using the zero cycle map to practice this is valuable because of the dragon spawn offsets you know
@@CurcuitStore alright thanks! I have LoTAS, I just wasn’t sure if you knew of better ones. So you just slow down the game? Also how do you manage that weird dragon kill glitch? How would I learn that? Are there tutorials?
yepp, there’s a discord somewhere in that link if you want more specific help, but that’s pretty much it and for this dragon thing, there’s a few videos in the description that go into more detail, but if you’re just starting out i wouldn’t worry too much about it. it’s way too precise for just LOTAS, and where you start needing special programs to find the angles/movements
You can! I just felt like looking into this first since it seemed interesting, and more realistic for a full run. it's probably not too bad tbh but good to have options I suppose
emma truly becoming the pannenkoek of speedrunning
That's actually what I thought when watching the video.
watch for descending dragon (commentated)
in 0.5x pearls
I know nothing about this techy coding shit but this video had me absolutely transfixed even though I have no idea what was happening 95% of the time
Wow, I never thought that someone would be so dedicated to put all these ideas together in practice. Excellent video
it’s a superpower called procrastinating important things 😎
you are going to revolutionize endfights (at least for TAS lol)
Hi Curcuit! Long time no watch! I genuinely thought you’d quit yt/minecraft as there were no updates from your main channel or a link to this channel in your channels page! Glad I’ve found you again :)
cant u use another pearl to get to the fountain quicker and then place vines on the bedrock like that other zero thing

i gonna spend my whole day learning this
My favorite part is the milk advancements and the video is 4:20.
would it be possible to build a tall pillar on the perch thing so that it is closer to the top block higher up?
