The leaked logs indicate a abnormallly rapid dive according to the timestamps and depth reports. The issue was a crunching noise they heard so they abandoned the decent. The tail cap that held the electronics apparently got a leak becase they reported no issues but would not confirm depth. After minutes of being asked surface confirmed depth and they made around 60 feet of progress in way to much time (like they were overloaded with the tail cap filling up) they dropped equipment and the brace but still made no progress and eventually started sinking again. More reports of crunching noise then the navy reported the implosion. The transcripts were broken down and the depth and reports in it do add up. The carbon fiber weakened with repeated dives and gave way. Either way corners were cut and it was unsafe. But the occupants signed a waiver releasing liability
