They will always admit that there were other red flags like they didn’t connect to each other emotionally, had bad communication, had an uneasy feeling before they got married, weren’t really in love but got married anyways, weren’t compatible in other areas, etc. Bad sex after they got married was just a byproduct of all their other issues. If you have real love and connection that’s not going to be a problem.

You're exactly right, sex is over prioritized. Even within a marriage and as beautiful a thing as sex can be, couples are still basically addicted to it and if they aren't both exactly on the same page as far a frequency and other factors, it creates a tremendous stress on the marriage because both people are spending much of their daily and weekly energy in trying to make the whole sex thing work out as if it's a life and death thing. I know because I was there. Now my wife has stage 4 breast cancer, the semi treatable kind, second time around,.. no one feels sexy at stage 4 and we are both learning how to live a fulfilled marriage without sex. Honestly I wish our marriage still had sex in it but at the same time in many ways our marriage has been better than ever now that sex isn't a strain for us anymore.

S*x does not define us and Purity is not a “religious term or a culture” - it’s a lifestyle and can be practiced not only in the body, but the mind, and the heart. When we choose to be “active” outside boundaries marriage, it can cloud our thinking and decision making - our bodies are the last to follow…. it all starts in the mind and heart. You're exactly right, sex is over prioritized. Even within a marriage and as beautiful a thing as sex can be, couples are still basically addicted to it and if they aren't both exactly on the same page as far a frequency and other factors, it creates a tremendous stress on the marriage because both people are spending much of their daily and weekly energy in trying to make the whole sex thing work out as if it's a life and death thing. I know because I was there. Now my wife has stage 4 breast cancer, the semi treatable kind, second time around,.. no one feels sexy at stage 4 and we are both learning how to live a fulfilled marriage without sex. Honestly I wish our marriage still had sex in it but at the same time in many ways our marriage has been better than ever now that sex isn't a strain for us anymore.

Through discipline and help of God, I’ve able to remain sexually abstinent for 35 years. There are many layers to this. You’re right on it! S*x does not define us and Purity is not a “religious term or a culture” - it’s a lifestyle and can be practiced not only in the body, but the mind, and the heart. When we choose to be “active” outside boundaries marriage, it can cloud our thinking and decision making - our bodies are the last to follow…. it all starts in the mind and heart. The beautiful thing about purity is that it’s never to late… and it has relevance not matter your stage in life - whether an adolescent, single, married, or divorced… Thank you for being an advocate for truth!

Parents give up everything for their children, and "the children come first" is such a common way of thinking, and one of the main reasons why the parents LOSE their marriage because they neglect their relationship with their spouse. The true nucleus of the family is the husband and wife. CHILDREN ARE GUESTS in the home. Yes, you are parents, but husband and wife are the family. Children need to come SECOND to the husband and wife relationship. Because this is such an unpopular opinion, I have been told NOT to date any men with children.
