Excellent information and very well-presented. (Now to just get more viewers!) I have a couple of new, cheap plastic high tunnels this year -- one I'm planting in and the other I'll use to grow up seedlings when it warms a little more. That you've been successful bumping just-sprouted cool-season flowers and veggies out into your greenhouse gives me hope I can start doing the same sooner than I thought.
I basically do a winter sowing, I have one of those green plastic greenhouses that I start seeds in. I just start most things a couple weeks earlier than I normally would if I were to have a heat mat/grow light set up. Seedlings obviously grow slower but I get pretty much the same result
I picked mine up at a thrift store. They are 20” x 20” and I love the larger size for the number of seeds I start. My parents have these from Amazon and they work great. 😊 a.co/d/jf7hsyu happy growing!! 💚🌱
Great point! These are my favorite methods, and I’m in North Texas. You’d have to provide heat in a greenhouse. Here in the south we do have to supplement with heat in a greenhouse, but certainly not as much. Winter sowing works everywhere, but would delay your warm weather starts. Also, the hardening off and multi sowing tricks would work just fine in conjunction with indoor growing under lights. Happy growing! 💚🌱
I am just getting into gardening and I love everything you’re posting!! It’s super helpful! I can’t wait to follow along on the journey here on UA-cam and on Facebook 💐🤍🥕🥦🌸

This won’t work in Rhode Island.
