And they are rushing now, when they should do this arc properly and do Sasuke and especially Sakura justice. They could've started this month ago, but no, it was so important for us to watch Boruto squid game arc.🤡🤡 I'm definitely gonna stick to Boruto manga from now on...
Tbh, I am piqued that they are cutting so much of the important details. Like, not mentioning that Sasuke used earth style to create the ring. The other part is Sakura using her perfect chakra control to get a feel of the prison layout, which is how they discovered the hidden room. Also, about the Meno fight, Sasuke was able to get away. I have a feeling they will cut the conversation at the lake. With the ring scene, the conversation between them was similar in feel to their conversation at the lake that it might be cut to save time, frames, and money. They only have like 3 episodes left to cover 5 chapters of the novel, and if the pacing of these episodes continue it they will be cutting out important scenes and information. It destroys the carefully crafted pacing of the original work. The manga is doing a really good job in keeping important information and conveying Sasuke's contemplative moments that were important in the novel. I recommend reading the novel after you finish the manga. Why? There are details to jutsus that were performed by both Sakura and Saauke. The novel includes Sasuke's inner musings about his relationship with Sakura. Also, there are moments that showcases Sakura's intelligence. For example, during their visit to the lake, Sasuke asks Sakura about the differences between the lizards and the dragon beasts. She then proceeds to give him a clear and concise explanation of them. In the manga, they skip it.
Yeah I will probably read the novel after I'm done with the manga. But I agree they cut out important stuff that gave those characters more development, just like you said with Sakura figuring out the prison layout etc... these moments develop the character even more. But to be honest, the way the Boruto anime is set up. They think the audience is not as smart and they haven't watched Naruto or something because they don't mention certain skills, or activations or in general don't bother naming the jutsu right. For example when Boruto first came out. A lot of people were watching from Naruto(I still believe some are). When they used space-time ninjutsu they called it space-time. But now in the anime they call it teleportation jutsu. The manga stays real, the anime flops it and changes its name or meaning.

There are things that anime can do well. Like making the ring scene more romantic with music and lighting. Plus Non-tan and Chie-san's VAs conveying their emotions exceptionally well. Also, I'm not an expert in animation but compared to other animes airing. The animation seems static and it's almost stop-motion-like. Unless it's an important action scene or scene in general then the animation quality jumps exponentially. It's awkward and sometimes uncomfortable. The art is good though...but not consistent.
I agree, I have been but I wanted to see it animated because of Sasuke. I wanted to see how they play his feelings in the anime but it seems like we got played.
Cause SP has a bias towards hinata. They will make extra efforts to show hinata doing stuff which she probably never would have done... But when it comes to sakura, we get the bare minimum possible.
it annoys me because the animation + art is usually good and even looks amazing sometimes, but it’s like they can’t decide if they want to be a child rated G show or for teens/young adults like original naruto was. idk if they think their target audience is too dumb for a so much plot dialogue that they have to cut corners but they have plenty of manga content to flesh out available already written to make more episodes… yet this studio has done this so much, even with tokyo ghoul and i can’t understand why other than rushing to meet deadlines. if they’d be more flexible with animators & budget what makes a good show’s story/animation timeless, they’d see more profit in the long run. that’s why i drop boruto on and off, even now i don’t recommend tokyo ghoul (anime) anymore cuz the entire story was ruined with plot cuts from the og material + rushed… to me, that brings less and less fans to invest in anime who would buy merch and stay supportive.
Right on the dot. I had the same idea for Boruto for sometime. Like it is trying to be for kids or is it for teens. The anime feels like it's for kids while the manga feels for darker and for teens. Aside from the part where they cut out sasuke asking for sarada and why sakura needed to go to the jail herself, the episodes was, pacing wise?, good. The animation is still bad though. But I did appreciate the color artist in charge of the ring scene since it did look good.

Whether it follows the manga or novel it doesn’t matter cuz the anime adaption STILL cuts out parts from the novel like Sakura’s new jutsu, mentioning Sarada, Sasuke getting jealous in the hospital. It’s still removed so it’s not a good excuse from those fans. The ring scene was very cute but so far I like everything better in the manga and novel. Not to mention the animation and art is VERY BLAND. I completely agree. It’s off. To think I was excited by this anime adaption but I think this small arc was maybe outsourced if so, I rather they hadn’t bothered.

They aren't following the manga but the novel. There are some scenes in the manga that aren't in the novel and honestly I don't care that they cut scenes from it. It's 5 episodes. Of course they're going to cut scenes.

For me, I loved some of the changes... I think that Gigi finding by mistake is more logical than Sasuke declaring their relationship in an UNDERCOVER mission ... I thought that was stupid in the manga. Likewise, the Uchiha crest ...WHY WOULD A PERSON UNDERCOVER HAVE HIS INFAMOUS FAMILY CREST ON THEIR CLOTHES ... That was top tier stupid in the manga ... but I agree that they dumbed down a lot of the details about Sakuras abilities and the findings.
The manga and anime put less information about something crucial when telling this story. Redaku is an isolated land where ninjas are myth-like. They know ninjas exist and stuff but it's rare. In Kakashi Retsuden they hear stories about ninjas but the people in Redaku are not familiar with the Uchihas. Let alone know where Konoha is. It's not common knowledge for them. The novel doesn't say anything about Sakura wearing the Uchiha crest so that was creative liberty. As for Sasuke blowing their cover, depends on how you view Sasuke's character. Tbh, I think it was fine he blew his cover. Not because I wanted him to be jealous but because they were discussing her being a part of the mission. A mission he just realized has more dangers than men ogling his wife. He is high-strung right now and the idea of Sakura, his family, in serious danger is clouding his judgment. Thus, emotional response. Also...foreshadowing why Sakura being a part of the mission is a double-edged sword. On-the-one-hand, Sakura is versatile and intelligent for an undercover mission. On-the-other-hand, Sasuke's anxiety about losing his family again could take priority if anything were to happen to Sakura. The fear of losing Sakura and leaving Sarada without her parents is a genuine worry Sasuke has. So, him acting out in a moment where he hasn't sorted himself out yet makes sense to me.
Maybe the sp want more naruhina fandom..i mean sasusaku relationship was not good but still many people love the couples if the sp exactly made their scene same as in the manga this couples would be the best and it would affect naruhina couple alot

Yeah her character's drawing felt like it was lacking. She felt so plain. They should have at least upped it because this is a novel that will only be animated once while the whole anime is going on. It should mean something special.
