SUMMARY:
- Which number is your favorite: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine? Pick the one you like the most!
- Multiply your number by 2.
- Now you need to add 5 to your result.
- Multiply the result you've got by 50.
- And now, your day of birth comes into play. If you have already celebrated your birthday this year, add 1,768 to your final result. And if this magnificent event is still ahead, add 1,767.
- Now, you're supposed to have a four-figure number. If you don't, something has gone terribly wrong. Check your calculations again!
- You need to subtract the year of your birth from your final result. After you've done this, you get a three-digit number. The first digit is the number you chose at the beginning. And the following two digits are your age! If you haven't made any mistakes in your calculations, you'll have the right answer.

If you want to do the correct calculation according to this year 2020 then add 1770 if you have celebrated your birthday and if it is still ahead this year the add 1769.
The answer will now be 100 percent correct.

If we make equation of the steps:
1. 2X
2. 2X+5
3. (2X+5)×50
4. {(2X+5)×50} + 1768
Now simplifying this equation we get (2018+100X)
5. (2018+100X) - birth year
This is nothing but simply subtracting ur birth year by 2018..
Obviously we will get our age... And that X is only used for illusion..
6. We get 3 digit no. and first digit will always be X bcoz we are multiplying X with 100 in the eq.

This trick worked only until 2018. To find your real age, you'll need to add the number of years that have passed since 2018 ended.

I did it with my brain.
He basically took any starting number and multiplied by 100, ensuring that the first number would be the number you choose. Then he basically made a fancy way of telling you to add the current year. After that he told you to subtract your birth year, making it so your answer was your birthdate plus the hundred- something number you got from your guess. He is just using a magician’s tactic with distracting you with fancy words and extra numbers. The basics of it is just the current year minus the year you were born added to the number you chose times 100. 🤯

But this calculation will not work next year..to make it work next year try with 1769 instead of 1768...
Basically by selecting any number from 1 to 9, the number you get finally goes like 2118, 2218, 2318, 2418...2918. which is just this year 2018 + 100 or 200 or ..900. and what will you get when you subtract your birth year from 2018...your present age...! Plus 100 or 200...or 900...
PS: this mathematics also will not work if you are born before 1919..that is if you are more than 99 years old 😎

the math is pretty simple though, if anyone wants to know, read below
They asked to do
(2x + 5)*50
=100x +250
Then they ask us to add the seemingly random numbers of 1768 and 1767, but these are just 250 years and 251 years less than the year this was made (2018).
1768 + 250 = 2018
1767 + 250 = 2017
So when they ask us to subtract our year of birth, it's actually just 2018 - year of birth + 100x that wasn't subtracted out. For people whose birthdays haven't passed yet, it would just be 2017 - year of birth + 100x
This would lead to the number, x, you chose to be the first digit, followed by your age

It just a trick to fool you all , the total equation , if totally removed of these confusions gives you this
100X + 250 + 1768 - your birth year , simplify this also , and you get 100X + 2018 ,which is the tme when this video was created , so then he says you to minus your birth year , which gives you your age

I am surprised with the number of comments expressing awe at this mathematical trick which is pretty elementary. First thing you have to realise is that the arbitrary constant, 1767, (or 1768, if you already had your birthday this year) is not actually random but it is linked to the number 2018, which is also the year when this video was released. I will explain how a few sentences down the line. So if you are seeing this in 2021, you have to add the difference, which comes out to be 3 (=2021-2018). So the arbitrary constant for you will be 1767(or 1768) + 3 = 1770 (or 1771). While the video takes you through some simple mathematical calculations, it is sneakily adding up a constant to your final result independent of the number you choose at random from 1 to 9. This is how: until you are asked to add 1767 (or 1768), the series of steps can be summed up as a mathematical formula as (2x+5)*50 which can be simplified as 100x + 250. Now when you add 1767 (I will deal with 1768 as a modification later on), you get 100x + 250 + 1767 = 100x + 2017. Now when you're subtracting your birth year from this formula, you get 100x + (2017-your birth year). If this year was 2018, and you haven't had your birthday this year yet, then (2017-your birth year) will give you your age. But if you already had your birthday this year, you are a year older and so you need to add +1 to your calculations, which is what 1768 is doing for you instead of 1767. So once you have calculated through steps 1 to 6, you have landed up calculating 100x + (your age). As long as your age is 99 or less, this formula will give you the “awesome” result that you hope to get. Finally, your random number x does not have to be necessarily less than 10, but if you choose a larger number, you will be burdening yourself calculating numbers involving more digits. Let's say you choose a random number x=7. And your age is 36. The formula will give you 100x (= 700) + your age (= 36), which works out to be 736. Now you can see how it magically showed you your chosen random number, 7, and your age, 36, in a single three digit number. The reason it will not work for people who are 100 years old and beyond, is because now your age will interfere in the final calculation. Instead of 36 years, if someone is, let's say, 136 years, the final sum will be 836 and you can see why it no longer works. If you choose a random number greater than 9, let's say 25, for the same person who is 36 years old, the final result will be 2536. Separate out the 25, and you will get your age. Don't believe me? A person born in 1981 will be 36 years old in 2018 if s/he is yet to celebrate his/ her birthday in 2018. Following the series of calculations, x= 25, 2x = 50, 2x+5 = 55. Multiplying that by 50, we get 2750. Adding 1767 to the result, since the birthday is yet to be celebrated in 2018, we get 4517. Now substracting the birth year, we get 4517-1981= ... you guessed it! 2536. You are welcome.
