What I like about games such as among us and Lethal company that have “Fallen off,” is that I could play them forever as long as the servers stay up. I can just grab a couple friends and have a blast even if everyone else in the world has stopped playing.
Plus when a game "falls off" then the people still playing are big fans of the game rather than just young kids or people only playing because it's the "big game," making playing with random people more fun
I swear sometimes people think that just because a game has 'fallen off' it means you can't like it or play it anymore lol. Every game is going to get smaller eventually but that shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying it
Pretty sure lethal company is peer-to-peer so you don't need their servers (unless you wanna use random matchmaking)
@@TheLethargicWeirdo985that just the thing though. Many games from big companies just stop working after a while. So if a game is “dead” they will just stop hosting the game servers and you just can’t play the game you bought.
@@Mirtual oh dope even better
The indie devs are really just the boys, they’re equally as tired of the AAA slop as us.
They’re the ones that did something about it
Title: why indie games are dominating
Video: GLOBAL 👏 NUCLEAR 👏 HOLOCAUST 👏 REGULARLY 👏
Yeah this went from 0-100 REAL fast
INAVDE CANADA
@ that one chatter: You don't want Vancouver, it sucks here.
You bastard I live in Calgary Alberta at least you guys have whistler 😑
@@thethingwithit whistler is decidedly not Vancouver lol that’s like saying Red Deer is Calgary
But if I want to film a movie there I get good tax breaks!
@@wyatttibbitts8603 pro tip: that’s everywhere in Canada lol
I''m not saying Canada would win against every single country in the world, every time Canada has gone to war the Geneva convention has gained a couple new chapters...
😂😂😂
I hope turning away from the F2P model doesnt just mean that it's the basically the same model but now with a shiny 70$ pricetag
I don't think chatters understand that the US isn't very popular internationally either
I like the $20 to $40 price range. Ik helldivers wouldn’t be half a popular if it was $70
Atrioc gotta drop the Enron merch
Hopefully as a battlepass
Yeah hes never done that before
But really I’d like to earn the merch through a crypto based Herbalife timeshare program.
3:54 Imagine it works like in survivor and the UN holds meetings yearly where everybody sees who gets the tiki torch extinguished and excommunicated LMFAO
How on earth did this go from indie games doing well to talking about an annual global nuclear holocaust to kendrick and kobe murals in toronto. Like, hello?
Twitch chatters. That's how
"where would we import out musical artists?" Underated line, absolutely euphoric.
AAA game devs: What if we take the free to play model, but don't make it free...
Canada: If they all teamed up they might cause me some trouble…
6:35 talk about the big 3 lol
Bad take(I haven't watched it yet)
Massive l take I also didn't watch it
I really wanna hear the turn based combat war cook now
45 seconds ago, what a time to hit refresh on my YT page
Good times and noodle salad
The british invented turn based combat. Stand at either side of a field, taking turns firing at each other
there's a video covering this exact topic, us v world
My pc broke and now i can't even study properly :(
I wish Windows had competitors
Linux
macOS
Linux and Mac are not viable options depending on your field
@@Pnic1193 gaming is the only thing you can only do on windows and even then Linux is gaining ground fairly quick.
With that comes AI research, especially involving cuda.
Other than that macOS and Linux are perfectly viable options, in some cases even better
@@Terandium acting like Linux is a perfectly viable competitor for everyone is just so dumb
As a game dev working in the industry, the one thing I'll say about the 'games as a service' model (live service, FTP, etc.) is that although it has proven to be unsustainable for the majority of the industry, it was actually something good for devs like me. Prior to that, once you finish making a game, the studio would more often than not massively downsize because, well, the game came out! These newer kinds of games offer better job security and more consistent lives (rather than moving every couple years). I will also note the irony of my using the words 'job security' and 'game development' in the same sentence in 2024 but LMAO I think the point still stands.
Yup, to keep your job you have to make everyone else’s experience worse
They should make wars like the stock market. Not allowed on the weekend, and if too many people die in they take a break for everyone to calm down. 🧐
Cutting the war discussion like that with the end credits makes me anxious 😡
Chatter at end wants to go back to Musket lines instead of Guerrilla warfare.
What vod is this from?
He hasn't streamed for ages
i love this channel
vancouver mentioned i'd never thought i'd see the day
If you leave an all male twitch chat alone for a few hours they almost always default to eco-fascism and just like... regular fascism in this case.
Lil pup it's not that deep, I'm pretty sure they're just kidding. Dw abt Toronto
I'm surprised that Big A says "Toronto" like a local. Maybe he's one of us after all Hmm
Indie games are neat because they're not fucking 70 bucks so I can actually afford to buy those a few times a year without it making a dent into my budget.
Also if nations voted to go to war against others, I'm pretty sure the US would consistently rank into the top 10 countries the world would want to get rid of, which really isn't where you want to end up if you're a US resident.
TBC war would be sick ngl
Ever since I learned that Atrioc is the one showing wrong messages I have been feeling so bad for the editors
I live in mexico. Chinese cars are taking over. My dad who was shitting on them 6 months ago, bought one last week because the deals are too good to pass up.
These are all flavor of the week games to me that I wouldve played with a temporary friend group for the memes before ghosting after a week and going back to spamming Valo solo queue
We do. We do got thay dawg
Lethal company is still one of my favorite games
Because they're games, not products.
Damn that's a sick mural
The stardew dev made like 10mil plus off of sales
Thanks ædish
the one country one vote buying already happens at the UN, the microstates are being lobbied by both Taiwan and China, and you can see those US resolutions that only get votes by them and like Nauru.
Preciate the daily high qual vids. Thank you fellas
This video is not high quality...
3:15 and 4:30 chatters have been spending way too much time quicksaving their Civ games
New York has over 10 million less than Canada's population, maybe they meant California which is actually very close to Canada's population.
Yippee
As a Canadian, we got the dog 🐶

PREDICTION when IOI drop 007 it’s going to be so good and so refreshing that it’s going to become wayyy more popular than Hitman has ever come. I can’t wait.
Chinese cars started hitting the market here. And they have been questionable quality-wise after like a year xD
are these indie games in the room with us
Atrioc's chat so dumb; they're focusing on the wrong thing. War isn't the answer, dance off is. Think about it: like that one dude said, you have every nation on the planet do a vote for who is causing the panic right now. You know, like in grade school. But, instead of war, instead of war, it's a dance off. The nation voted as causing the most panic, must dance-off with the second highest nation. 5 vs 5 dance off, winner, get's the dub and gets to dab on all other nations. For a year, the nation that wins the dance off gets a year long, visa-free travel to every nation on Earth, but while they're in the place that they're visiting, they must help out for 3 - 6 months a good samaritan project, room and board provided for them. Not only will you have people helping out people, but now, you get a worldwide, Cold War-esque escalation in dance off moves. You thought people could dance back in the day or now? You ain't seen nothing till you have a nuclear power sinking its defence budget into supporting a five person dance troupe; just sayin.
GLizzy eating contest to solve for world peace. 4:55
We get Big A to go up against the other country's greatest warrior.
YEs
Canada military is small, but pretty good for it's size.
But we do lean heavily on the US being our Allies. Why workout when your buddy is a 6 foot jacked dude who never leaves your side
Okay I know games are technically a business but they’re also art. Indie games are made with passion, not made to satisfy shareholders. You can feel the passion in art, and indie games are just built different
what stream is this from?
What you think this means: “The micro transactions and loot boxes don’t work, let’s go back to charging 80$ for a full-fledged game where everything can be obtained through playing the game”
What it actually means: “Let’s just release the same exact shit but let’s charge them 80$ on top of all the other micro transactions just to access the game in the first place”
How does he know how to pronounce Toronto correctly?
Whole world vs the US?
US clears
US finds a way to kill itself, rest of the world doesn’t even need to do anything
Depends if we talking no nukes I could see it being a coin toss Us has a lot of water to cover and easily could take Canada which offers more land but if we allow nukes i think US is winning
@@MyNamesHunter75 US has “only” like 40-something% of the total amount of warheads, and they’d have to cover a hell of a lot more ground than the rest of the world if it actually came down to that
Chinese EVs?? What is this, a LordEmvee team builder?
As an indie developer, you definitely have to get lucky or you don’t make anything 😂
FALL GUYS I LOVE FALL GUYS SO SO MUCH I COMPLETE EVERY FAME PASS

The "solar panels as fencing material" is not exactly what it sounds like. It is cheaper to build an inefficient solar fence than to pay installation fees to install solar panels on roofs. They are not being bought as fencing material
Pall world is also on Xbox and Microsoft store but yea it’s gonna be dead in a few months
"No chat, I'm going to annex Canada for *MORE OIL* "
Skong will dominate
I STILL play DC Universe Online.
I bags Sydney
Indie games aren't dominant, the bangers are dominating but the ratio is very low to be a banger.
If any game that delivers free content updates regularly or irregularly counts as a "live service game", then I guess 95% of games are indeed "live service". How is Stardew Valley a LSG?
Still bothers me we can't have Chinese EVs.
I call Ontario
Wtf is this title he said nothing about why indie games are dominatinf
Keep
This man alive at all
Cost I don’t know another Chanel like his!
i completely understand the point of this channel is to kinda group together the chat banter before stream, i get that. but to title this video "Why indie games are dominating" and then have the TITLE conversation not take up not even 1/4 of the video is just point blank misleading
Womp womp
@@account-yi2cn you have 3 months left to live your pitiful menial life.
Do you want him to make the title 4 sentences long? To fit all the topics discussed?
I mean it's not really misleading you get the information within the first part of the video and it's all you really need to know. A lot of it is also common sense people are just fed up with over priced games that are made by big studios exploiting labour trying to milk money out of consumers along with being broken messes where indie is thriving due to passion and actually loving what's being made and isn't there to have a battle pass, seasons, skins and over priced cosmetic DLC with some games even having outright unfair stuff within those systems offer pay to win features in a triple a priced game. That stuff used to all be free and extra where you'd unlock it by playing now it's just to squeeze money. Where Indie isn't doing it
OSRS GOAT
Old wartime was already turn-based.
omega strikers
live service games are not popular in general. there are live service games that are popular and everyone else wants to be them.
As a Canadian, we collectively welcome anything that will liberate us from Trudeau.
Do you have term limits
@@ayoCC Nope PM can run indefiently until either stepped down, voted out or dies but canada like a lot of other countries has issues with foreign interference was shown within the last election with that being said the liberal party currently is losing and losing badly their entire image is basically in shambles and no one wants trudeau or the current liberal party to hold power expect people who are wealthy/ellite or refuse to vote against liberals because it's their entire identity. Most sane people at this point are fed up with him recently they lost toronto and while they may down play that significant for publicity it's clear they and their entire party is shaken by the fact toronto has been breached.
Overall the chances of liberals holding majority seats in the next election in 2025 (unless he steps down but he probably won't) are very minor unless conservatives do something that completely destroys their image which seems unlikely to a degree that would cause liberals to hold majority. at the end of the day people are just fed up with trudeau and the liberals as their policies have done nothing to actually help Canadians and want the government to be heavily involved in citizens lives which people do not want. Trudeau is just a massive risk to the country especially now and in more globally tense times a liberal government isn't what is needed because social issues aren't something that should be focused on when we need to strengthen our military and not get booted from NATO
@@MyNamesHunter75 I heard he promised voting system reform, so I feel like that should have been a thing.
Sounds like voting system reform has to happen from the ground up, where all the union states have to decide individually to become ranked choicers or so and eventually change the country.
I'm already so annoyed with liberal and conservative clashes, it's probably being backed by outside forces to divide and polarize.
Indie games are better on January 25th only
You were talking about how Canada is able to essentially subsidize some of their healthcare costs and whatnot onto the US military. I think in the long run, this will cause the demise of Canada and other systems like France who do something similar.
War today is not being fought by missiles and tanks and f-16s. It's being fought by low cost munitions like drones which are even handbuilt like in Ukraine. I think America will catch on to this and also fight a war of purely drones, where we will be able to mass produce incredibly powerful, cheap drones which will have devastating effects with almost 0 risk to personnel. We have something similar today with the predator and reaper drones. But we will do so at much lower technological scales and much lower cost. Instead of spending 30 million on a single drone, we spend 30 million on 1000 drones.
But, drones are not a novel technology, so less money is in that tech. And so we will see hundreds of companies spring up to compete to create these drones at lower and lower cost easing up the military budget, leading to Canada's detriment as they were too dependent on American military. Less boots will be on the ground. America's worldwide presence will be done autonomously with AI.
As a vancouverite I feel personally desired and yet uncomfortable.
2:25 Vietnamese here, we're literally knows those EV are a scam and we still buying it...to scam others.
