Available for the first time on film, vintage live footage of the most aggressive thrash metal band ever - NUCLEAR ASSAULT!
Formed in 1984 by ex-Anthrax singer John Connelly and bassist Dan Liker, who were looking to create a more uncompromising act, and with Nuclear Assault they achieved it. Their barnstorming debut album 'Game Over' led to album releases from Combat records and IRS, with which they proceeded to set fire to the Billboard charts. Following a gruelling 180-day tour of the US and Europe with Agent Steel in 1987 they opened for Slayer before headlining tours in their own right and eventually conquering Japan.
This film contains the complete ear-blistering footage from the final date of the notorious 1987 tour, shot on June 20th at London England's world famous temple of rock'n'roll, the Hammersmith Odeon.

I love what a friendly greeting he gives them at the start. Most thrash bands are like "FUCK YOU!!!" and flipping the audience off. So awesome to see a thrash frontman being cool as fuck
It's because they were all insanely talented and cared about the music they made. Dan Lilker is a legend and some might even say helped create more than one genre of music. Talk about leaving your stamp. Thrash and grindcore wouldn't be the same without him.

Remember it like it was yesterday. I was 18 and it was my first thrash gig. Atomkraft , Nuclear Assault, Onslaught and Agent Steel.
What an induction to Thrash that was for you. Scottish fans like myself were always more into English Metal like Saxon, Priest and the mighty Motorhead though.Still buying Kerrang as a kid got us onboard with American bands, Metallica had already exploded but smaller less know the likes of Nuclear Assault , SOD....just awesome I am 50 years old now I got pretty much all I need on vinyl & CD i care for..listen daily and all in the car also. My missus doesn't share my passion but then again she never had good taste lol.
I'm jealous. I saw NA about a year later in Minneapolis. I haven't witnessed those other bands, thought.

I got to see them once in the late 80's (90?). There were three bands all made up of members of Nuclear Assault and one friend, Rich Harter. So, Nuclear Assault, CIA, and Harter Attack. All the same people, lol.
I got that album upon release when I was a young biased Metallica fan. Funny how now that I am 50 years old and stumble across Stranded in Hell again think holy fuck what a blistering track.
You might not believe me, but in 1985, I paid $7:00 to see this band in a club that was in Anaheim, CA. I also saw Uncle Slam and don't remember what other bands. I also saw them around 2000, I paid $13:00 and got Danny's autograph. Well, imagine I'm 54 yrs now and would go toa N A show if they would play in Los Angeles.

My Dad was involved musically (Keyboards Sound Bytes Intros or maybe sat in, not sure, but something, if I'm not mistaken) with a lakewood Nj. based band called TT Quick, Glen Evans'was the drummer for both Nuke Assault and TT Quick, I did load out and set up for S.O.D. Billy Milano, from Psychos and former Anthrax roadie, Bassist Danny Lilker, a founding member of Anthrax, and Nuclear Assault, Scott "Not" Ian, and Charlie Bennante the Drummer from Anthrax at the time in 1985, we all hit it off before the show in the crumbled asphalt parking lot to the former Iconic Trenton Nj. Underground Nightclub, sporting the most notoriously hostile, physically aggressive, and explosively natured, critical inhabitants, crowds that went from fans to riotous mob with a single sli City Gardens (where I worked for promoter Randy "Now" Ellis)
Saw the gig at Hammersmith Odeon. Met the band at a signing in Shades Records. They were a really nice bunch of guys
I saw them in 1989 in Boston at the Orphium with Testament & they hold the record for the worst sound crew. Testament sounded like the tape.
