so beautiful!! Africa is rich in talent, rich in culture, rich in everything. if only we were organized, everyone on this planet would want to live in Africa
Hello Trigga: You must realize that this took place during the Jazz Journalists' Award ceremony, and it was the first act, which is usually performed while people are still getting seated and saying hello to one another. The first act almost never gets a totally quiet audience, though they do tend to get quieter as the music progresses. One can look at the positive side, though. These acts are being presented to an extremely select and influential audience of jazz critics and musicians, and so it is a very good opportunity to get better known. In this case, the awards theme was Africa and its influence on Jazz. The Fula Flute was an excellent way to begin the program.
I guess so, Michal! The performance was spectacular! I love Guinean flute music, most Guinean music has some flute here flute there, its amazing. I fell in love with their Music a few years back when I interacted with Guinean soldiers while serving on a UN Peace Keeping Mission in Sierra Leone. One of my best Musicians that I really love his work is the late Sekouba Fatako. Check him out and let me know.

Just to be specific, Mr. Ndeche; the audience was very special, as was the event. The audience was made up of musicians and music journalists.
