Buffalo point is where we would go when I was a kid. At one point we were homeless and the kind people at White Buffalo Resort let us stay there for a couple months in tents during the off season. I always planned on doing one last week long canoe trip down the Buffalo (crazy smallmouth bass fishing on the Buffalo). I never took the time off work and now I am 50 and disabled and no longer able to paddle down the river. I did get to take my Mom on a 2 week vacation at White Buffalo Resort right before I lost her. If my health was better I would live there now. I love to see others enjoying it.

When are you leaving for the CDT? I don’t really understand the logistics of the trail, I think it a less hiked trail. I can’t wait to watch the videos! I’ve only seen Homemade Wanderlusts hike. Arkansas is next year’s travels.

I believe I saw a guide service for Smallmouth Bass in that area.
You should try that and learn the basics for future success when you feel like fishin.

The Buffalo is on my bucket list to try this year or next year. I am turning 50 next year 🤮😵💫😫, so I have a goal this year to lose 50lbs by 50 (I call it my 50 by 50 goal) and hit 50 destinations. What a great vlog. Thanks for the journey!

Love watching your adventures. I lived in Marion, by West Memphis, during my high school years and my college years up in Jonesboro. Now that I am in Phoenix, I really miss that part of the country, especially now that is 110 out here. And it is good to see a carnivore on here..lol Seems 99% of the peeps I follow are "grazers". Ya can't beat the taste of a rare steak from the grill. Looking forward to following you on future long ass hike. Take it easy and take care of yourself.

So beautiful! I feel that river calling my name! Been such a wet spring I've yet to get my kayak in the streams here on the Missouri side of the Ozarks. Rivers have all been up everytime I get time available. Thanks for taking us along. At least I can get a bit of my river craving out vicariously through your adventures.

Great video! Tip for river fishing, use a small (like 1/32) jighead and a white curly tail grub. It never fails me and since it is a single hook it’s a lot easier to unhook the fish.

Loved seeing nature and your grandma. I just drove from Franklin tn to home near Dallas. From Memphis to Texarkana in the natural state. It’s a nice drive but not even close to as pretty as spots you take us with you.
