For e.g. during cherry blossom time, you would expect longer processing time due to increased number of visa applications. Usually, apply at least 3 weeks in advance to safely get your Japan Visa along with passport!

While applying for Japan visa, there is no option to select multiple entry visa. It depends on your itinerary & ofcourse Japan embassy folks! What we have seen is that if you submit all the documents mentioned in video, usually one gets multi year multiple entry Japan visa! 😊

For Japan Tourist Visa, around 3-5lakh in bank balance should be fine. Do get the bank statement signed by bank. If no ITR, try to give proof of your employment/business.

We needn't do anything different for 5 years Japan visa. You need to apply with all the documents. Basis your application, it's at Japan embassy folks to issue long term Japan visa!

For 11 days Japan trip with unpaid hotel, ₹2.5 L would be on a bit lower side. If you have any investments like FDs, MFs then do include them as additional savings.

We both work in MNCs as Product Managers and earn a monthly income of 1 lakh rupees each. But we don't maintain much balance in the bank as we invest much of our salary. We can stop investment for now and can make a bank balance of 1.5 lakh each atleast by January (the time when we plan to apply for visa). Is there any cause of concern here? Just needed to check since the bank balance of the past 6 months would be low. But we can show the investment proofs, salary slips, ITR etc. With other investments, I would be able to show atleast 8 lakh rupees and my sister would be able to show 4-5 lakh rupees. If your parents are sponsoring the travel then include their bank statement as well (along with yours) and mention this in your cover letter (that parents are sponsoring the travel) clearly.

It's a bit tight. However given that July is not a rush time in Japan, you can still get it in time! We got our Japan Visa in a week's time in March (peak time due to cherry blossom in Japan!).

You should be fine on applying by yourself at much less cost! We did the same. Just follow the video and apply with all the required documents and you should get the Japan visa!
Is marriage certificate mandatory? If spouse’s name is mentioned in passport, will that suffice? Also, will payslip and employment letter from company sufficient?
If spouse name is mentioned in each other's passport then no need to attach marriage certificate. In our case it was not the case, so we attached it! Yes Payslip, employment letter should be good enough but try to get NOC cum leave letter (though not mandatory but will make application stronger). Do include ITRs as well. Hope this helps!

However in the cover letter you should mention about your wedding and your plan to visit Japan for honeymoon. If you already have wedding card printed then attach that as proof or anything else that shows you two are getting married!

That's weird as for our Japan Visa, we had to take stamp of bank. If you can get the stamp then do get it just to be on the safer side! Else do let us know if your process went through without bank statement and we will include this change!
Which city did you apply in? I think in some cities like Mumbai you can apply directly to embassy. What do you think in your application made them give you 5 years
We applied in Delhi. Here we had to apply via VFS. I think now a days to encourage tourism, they are providing long term visa! As, my previous Japan visa was for only my travel duration with single entry. 5 years Japan visa could also be function of Cover letter with itinerary & past travel history. Hope this helps!

Yes for Japan visa, documents that you mentioned are perfectly fine! In our passports we don't have spouse name updated yet, so we attached marriage certificate!

You will have to mention that both of them are travelling with you and are dependent on you thus you're sponsoring their trip. You will also have to show that you have enough bank statement to fund your Japan trip! Similarly in your Mom's application cover letter, it should be mentioned that you're sponsoring her Japan trip. Along with that a sponsorship letter (signed) & your bank statement would be attached.
If you can show minimum 5 lakh in bank statement then that should be fine. For ITR, there is no minimum amount, you just need to have ITR form. Hope this helps!

So if going there for 10 days then average of around 15k/night should come to around 1.5 lakh, given hotels flights etc are already pre paid. Yes, it's fine to show both Bank statements. 3. Japan embassy folks might call you on your phone (as happened in our case), but personal visit was not needed. Since you're working on your own, you don't need to submit form 16 or salary slips for Japan visa. You should definitely include ITR, bank statement & mention in cover letter that you're a stock investor (with proof of account)!
It's not a mandatory requirement however it adds to your seriousness of application & intent to visit Japan! Also, you would want to book flight in advance anyway! So attach it as well!

We applied ourselves! However Atlys could help as well if you don't want to do it yourself! We used their service for our Oman Visa!

If your parents are sponsoring the travel then include their bank statement as well (along with yours) and mention this in your cover letter (that parents are sponsoring the travel) clearly.

You should be fine on applying by yourself at much less cost! We did the same. Just follow the video and apply with all the required documents and you should get the Japan visa!

If spouse name is mentioned in each other's passport then no need to attach marriage certificate. In our case it was not the case, so we attached it!
Yes Payslip, employment letter should be good enough but try to get NOC cum leave letter (though not mandatory but will make application stronger). Do include ITRs as well.

Previous visa refusal shouldn't be a big issue as long as you have all the documents & travel itinerary for Japan visa!

For Japan visa both of you will have to apply individual applications. However in the cover letter you should mention about your wedding and your plan to visit Japan for honeymoon. If you already have wedding card printed then attach that as proof or anything else that shows you two are getting married!

That's weird as for our Japan Visa, we had to take stamp of bank. If you can get the stamp then do get it just to be on the safer side! Else do let us know if your process went through without bank statement and we will include this change!

We applied in Delhi. Here we had to apply via VFS.
I think now a days to encourage tourism, they are providing long term visa! As, my previous Japan visa was for only my travel duration with single entry.
5 years Japan visa could also be function of Cover letter with itinerary & past travel history.

You could have used your current bank statement as well which was in your name. For now, submit both bank account statements so that Japan embassy folks know that both are your accounts and just money shifted!

You will have to mention that both of them are travelling with you and are dependent on you thus you're sponsoring their trip. You will also have to show that you have enough bank statement to fund your Japan trip!
Similarly in your Mom's application cover letter, it should be mentioned that you're sponsoring her Japan trip. Along with that a sponsorship letter (signed) & your bank statement would be attached.

If you can show minimum 5 lakh in bank statement then that should be fine.
For ITR, there is no minimum amount, you just need to have ITR form.

Assuming 10 days Japan trip, these amounts will be a bit less. Around 5L+ should be a safe amount. See if you can attach any other savings like FD, PPF etc to show that you have enough to travel to Japan!

No, you can't work in Japan on Tourist visa.

For Japan visa, minimum bank balance would depend on number of days in Japan. So if going there for 10 days then average of around 15k/night should come to around 1.5 lakh, given hotels flights etc are already pre paid.

Ideally there should be latest ITR. But if you or parents don't have one then include 6 months bank statement that has sufficient balance for your trip (around 5lakhs).
