This video talks about the Factor Analysis in SPSS. First, the concept of factor analysis is explained among other concepts like factor loadings, composite reliability (CR), and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). Second, the data is analyzed with two examples in SPSS and their interpretations are explained. The results of Convergent and Discriminant validity are also explained.
I've watched this 2x already. I have watched other videos but I feel like your explanation is clearer. May God bless your work Sir!
Thank You.
Hi Sir, I have got a feedback from my lecturer. She said as the PAF analysis showed that one of the items had a factor loading
good that you got the answer. Anything I can do?
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal Thank you Sir. I hope you would be kind enough to share your knowledge on how to interpret Model 5 if the X = dichotomous but M X and W are continuous. (Which mean centering to choose is it all variables that define products?). I tried to use the line graphs based on the scatterplots data given in the output of Model 5. Yet, the scatterplots data (+1SD, at the Mean, -1SD)is different when I choose mean centering all variables that define products vs only the continuous variable (W). That still puzzles me Sir.
Can I do factor analysis for questionnaires which are not on a likert scale and have nominal options
I dont think so
Hi sir, do we need to do a normality check and remove outliers from our pilot data before conducting EFA? Thank you.
No, not necessarily.
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal thank you very much for your prompt response sir.
Very informative sir. Thank you so much for uploading such educational videos. Please keep going.
Thank you, I will
Thank you Sir for the explanation. Sorry i am a little bit confused. I want to do factor analysis precisely CFA for my work, but i don't know if the steps you follow on the video are the same even for EFA or CFA
these are the steps of EFA, For CFA you need to use AMOS or other software, like WarpPls.
Very informative I'm from India
Good to hear.
Hello Sir,
Thanks so much for your video. I have a question, I am using the UTAUT model with 4 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. I tried to conduct an EFA, telling SPSS to extract 5 factors using Principal Component Analysis and Varimax Rotation. The results are really clear, clearly putting the items in the constructs derived from the UTAUT model. The only problem is that the last factor has an Eigenvalue that is a bit smaller than 1.0 (0.953). Now I am wondering if I can still use this as result or if I need to find another solution. If I dont tell SPSS how many factors to find, (using Kaiser-Meyer Olkin Kriterion, Eigenvalue bigger than 1), the results are completely weird, (dependent variable, loading on the same factor as one independent variable?). Would you recommend using the first solution, even though Eigenvalue is a bit too low? I highly appreciate your help. Thanks a lot :)
sorry for the late reply. I think by increasing the sample size this problem will go. the value will increase for sure. or you look for studies that provide references for low values... or just consider it 1 by rounding off.
Thank you for the video. Please do you organize online training in data analysis?
Glad it is helpful. yes I do as and when required.
Here are some trainings I did

Hello sir
While running CFA i got saturated model and error in analysing missing values in group no 1 followed by no valid licence of amos (11,4).this error iam getting sir.can you tell me what is it sir.why iam getting this error
There are two possibilities,
you might have too many missing values, which means empty entries
and your AMOS is not licensed or cracked.
Thank you Sir. I have a query. What does component plot in rotated space denote?
Thanks
Are you talking about the scree plot?
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal No Sir, besides sree plot, we also get component rotated plot having its value from -1 to 1. I want to know about that. If you have any idea regarding that. Please let me know. We get it in factor analysis
Hello, Respected Sir, EFA of 79 line items scale shows their are 15 factors but all values are loaded in first column. i dont know why.... it means there is only one dimension of scale ? but i does not seem logical. kindly guide me how to handle this.... thanks in anticipation
can you send me the picture at atifbilal@live.com
so I can help you
Hello sir. I want to ask one question. Why do we get some negative values in rotated component matrix table? What does it mean?
That values are very opposite. you can watch this ua-cam.com/video/Zx2oxRF-pcs/v-deo.html
Hello sir, I want to know why values of factor loading in spss is different from amos value? which one is more reliable and should be mentioned in research paper..
If you are using AMOS for your model and hypotheses testing, then mention the AMOS Value.
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal OK sir... Thank you so much!!!
sir what should be the sample size for factor analysis ..and for questionnaire reliability and validity
The analysis can be done on any number of sample, but the best is that it should be good representation of the population. how to calculate it can be seen here

What is dummy variable?
Hi, again Sir. Thanks to your explanation, I could finish my Method Part yesterday en sent the draft of Method part to my lecturer with confidence. I am truly grateful for this.
One of my IVs (HPWS: latent of 20 items) shows 1 item with factor loading of 0.18 (
I am sorry for the late reply. first, you need to reverse code your reverse items, like if the answer is 5 (of 1-5 liker scale) then you need to place 1 and vice versa. second, if the value of loading is that low you can remove the item from all of your analyses.
Let me know if I can be of any help. Which country are you from?
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal Hi Sir. I'm Indonesian studying in the Netherlands.
No problem, Sir. I truly understand how busy you are. And thank you so much for responding.🙏
Yes Sir, I had reversed this item (item no 20) prior to doing PAF. Let's say the original is item20A and the reversed one is item20B.
In PAF, I included item20B (not 20A). Then the result showed that item20B was below .30 so I excluded it when computing the average score. So, MEAN(item1, item2, ..., item19).
Yet... I am not sure about the Cronbach's Alpha testing for internal consistency Sir. When doing the Cronbach's alpha testing, I included item20B (not 20A) although PAF said the factor loadingof 20B was
Thank you so very much such a transparent videos ...it's so reliable
Could you plz make a video regarding unit root method and non_parametric tests
Thank you. Yes, soon
sir i really learn a lot from your videos can you make a video on CFA and EFA as simple as you teach in others classes
Thank You. I have made a full series of SEN analysis that covers these topics. yet I will make another video on EFA and CFA
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal can you share the link of SEN analysis that cover the EFA and CFA also. thank you sir

what if my data is problematic? Can I measure the AVE and CR value of problematic data?
Yes, you can, that will actually indicate if the data is problematic or not?.. What do u mean by Problematic data?
@@TheConceptsbyDrAtifBilal like the first example you had. My variables are not loading in one factor
How to fix it and then which data to be used for the rest of data analysis
there is another video to fic it... How to fix factor analysis... then use the final data showing good loadings.

How to know factor of Nudge Marketing?
You can use the methods discussed in the other video, "how to find items for questionnaire"
I made my topic as "Using Nudge Marketing to boost Deposit Mobilization at Banks (Pakistan)"
Then I faced very much difficulty to find measurements related Nudge Marketing.
Now I changed my topic as "The impact of Electronic Nudge on Financial Behavior and Deposit Mobilization at Banks ( Pakistan)"
As I found their measurements easily. My Question is Does my topic making Sense? My major and Area of interest is in MARKETING (Nudge)
Can i have references?
You need to look for the papers on google scholar
