    THANK YOU FOR JUST BEING YOU. You two just seem so honest, your not trying to push products down our throats that you REALY don’t even use. The humor is by far the BEST in all rv videos. Have fun looking for your next rv.

      We felt the exact same way! When we bought Vinny we didn’t care for the looks of them. Now that we’ve toured the inside of many models, we’ve since changed our minds. As with ANY type of RV there are pros and cons, which make the decision process very tough.
      Thanks for watching Dean! 🧡😁🤓

    What a wonderful surprise for Holly! I know it has to be gratifying to see how you have inspired others to dream! Thanks for the wonderful videos you produce and for bringing us fun and adventures every week! I looked up the 33 foot Classic...it is perfection on a stick..I love it! The light colors (on the one I saw) made it look so big and bright! The desk is in a perfect spot too! Continued safe travels and good luck finding your new home! 😊

      Yes, the 33’ Classic is on our dream list. If we could just find one gently used and at a good price we would be in heaven!

    There are people that love Airstreams and people that don’t understand them. They are designed and built to move, not to sit in a campground for months at a time. We love our Airstream, it’s well built, simple and has been problem free. IF we ever sold our 30’ flying cloud it would be for a 30’ classic. Happy shopping.

      You are absolutely right. Both of us being in our mid 50s we are very aware of the whole “grass isn’t greener on the other side” saying. The Class A is definitely pampering but again...it’s not our best option “right now.” Not for us.
      We are actually wanting to find something a couple years old, not new. Now, if a dealer were to give us a good enough deal...then you betcha! 😂
      We bought the Newmar because we did our research and knew it was a good coach. We have a ton of reasons why we have decided to go this route which we have explained a few times below in the comments if you’d like to know.
      Like we’ve said many times...we’re not even 100% sure if it will be the Airstream. Inventory is low and the only 2 models we would even consider are the 30 or 33’ Classic. We wish the search was over! 😂 Thanks so much! 🧡😊🤓

    Enjoyed this update😃👍🏼. Have you heard of the channel “LESS JUNK MORE JOURNEY” ? They share there experience traveling in various rigs since they began their full-time RV journey-:). One such rig was and Airstream, they also lived in a Class A, 5th Wheel. I highly recommend watching some of their videos. Also “KEEP YOUR DAY DREAM” u-tube channel, they just moved into an airstream. They started full time RV’ing with their three kids and they are now down to one traveling full time as the other two are in college or other training. Best to you on this challenging decision😃👍🏼

      LivinRVision Airstreams would be great for two-week camping, but wouldn’t cut it for full time RV life. A bit too tight inside there. Just watching the Kydd family and Charley struggle inside theirs after having Grand Design. My opinion is they should have stayed with GD!

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому

      I think it depends on the individuals living in them and what model they have. It seems to work out great for a lot of other couples that love the models they have. The 33’ has a lot of room and the bathroom is bigger than a lot of Class As or fivers. That’s the model we like the most but boy are they pricey, especially after factoring in the truck. 😳

    Enjoy your upbeat posts. I have had two airstreams in the last 3 years (one with a major water leak 26U) and the a very nice 2018 28 foot which worked out well. Upgraded to a 2019 newmar new aire motorhome all electric which we love but it is definitely more complex. Just a word of caution that airstreams have their problems as well. Be careful. Also the change in setup will be costly.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому

      Agree, it will be a costly setup and yes, ALL RVs have their issues. I wouldn’t advise anyone to just jump in without doing their research. We’ve did our homework but we still are not 100% though. Appreciate your input with your experience. We’ve also talked to people with Airstreams that have never had any leaks. So it’s like any RV...you never know.

    We had a new 2017 30 Classic. They worked out some of the bugs from our early ALDE installed units, and fixed the multiplex system. The space between the dinette and the reclining sofa is where I built a custom Desk/Workspace. I do like the new palette they are using. We visited Bay Area Airstream 3 days ago they had a 33 and a 30. if you want to see a quick vid of the 33, we did one at Alumapaloza on a pre-production model. Personally, we think 30 is the better of the two. Good Luck. Note: The Woodwork on Classics is not made in Jackson Center, there is a nearby shop that makes the cabinets. Nice family, they can do that workspace for you that matches.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому +1

      Yep, that’s what we talked about doing on the 30’. That spot between the dinette and side recliner is pretty much the only place to put a desk without remodeling.
      We liked it as well, except for the bathroom. I myself could live with the 30.

      @@LivinRVision When we spoke to the folks at the factory, they mentioned they made this bathroom so huge in the 33 to appeal to Class A owners? There were a few things that turned us off on the 33, (we considered trading in) . #1 - We don't live in the bathroom so for us that was too space, we would have wanted more living space. #2 The Projection TV? That seemed really weird, as in 1999 Tech! #3 Fewer windows, #4 more hitch weight, and #5 less cargo capacity. Things we would have changed in our 30 Classic. #1 Purchased the twin bed, (I know) but we could "visit". #2 installed a lift, we dragged our tail a few times on gas stations, and fire roads. Good luck, hope you find one that works for you.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому

      Understand completely what you are saying. All things we of course have thought about and considered. The bathroom...well, that’s a big liking of the Mrs. I would rather have more living space also but hey...happy wife...you know the rest. 😉
      I don’t personally care for the projector tv either HOWEVER, I also don’t like the alternative small TV in the 30’ or wall space availability to put a bigger TV. It’s all what each individual person or couple prefers and can live with. I do like the 30’ living area setup. At this point with the way the market is...it’s hard to say what we will go with. 😂

    Just watched your video and was surprised you are considering a move from a class A to a trailer. Is your car big enough to pull a trailer or would you have to buy another vehicle? My husband and I full time in a Newmar Kountry Star, 39 ft with 4 slides. I wouldn’t go smaller because we also have to have desk space and plenty of storage. This rig is great for us. Good luck on your search.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому +1

      Yep, we are considering a “trailer” 😂 An Airstream with a desk space...33’ Classic is “what we want” and looking for.
      Oh heavens no, we could not pull it with the car. Trading the car for a truck is the easy part. You can look and buy and deal with the truck trade after. We want to sell Vinny first though. I personally like the Class As but after going on almost 2 years now of full-time, we have figured out what is going to work best for “us”. We would not tell everyone that an Airstream is the way to go because it all depends on each and every person’s own personal lifestyle and how they are going to use it...which full time is only a part of the equation. Believe it or not, our UA-cam channel is a big part of that equation as well.
      The Classic 30 or 33’ are the only two that we would consider at this time. Glad to hear your Kountry Star is working well for you guys.🧡 Newmar’s are very well built! 👍🏻😊🤓

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, Watson Lake is very pretty! Ha! We get asked that quite a bit lately but we are staying in an RV park full of other “likeminded” people. 😂 Keep in mind, all of Arizona is not the same temps. We started in Show Low which is where a lot of people from Phoenix go in the summer to escape the heat or even Flagstaff. It’s been pretty warm even where we’ve been staying which is considered Cottonwood but not really “in” Cottonwood. We are heading out tomorrow actually to our next destination which won’t show up on our videos for probably another 3 weeks. As far as the Airstream...keep in mind not everyone has the same wants and needs. One RV is not best for all. There are a lot of very happy people living full time in Airstreams, BUT we sure would like to go with the 33’ Classic which is a night and day difference compared to any other Airstream. Hard to say what we will get at this point. Inventory has been very low. RVs are selling fast! Stay safe! 😊🤓

It would be a big adjustment of having to utilize the laundry facilities at campgrounds & resorts. However, if we need to give up something in order to help make other parts of our living easier and less stressful than so be it. Thank you! 😊🤓 It all has to do with our own personal lifestyle. Where we want to go with it, how comfortable Michelle feels driving it, ease of taking video while driving, less to go wrong, better quality...there are MANY reasons that has been adding up as we have been full time for what will be 2 years this coming Thanksgiving. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the motorhome and would like to go with a Super C someday...but for now, the Airstream is very appealing to us. We will probably change again in the future, but for now that is what we have on our radar as first choice.

      Thank you! 😊🤓 Well, many reasons. I think we touched on this a few times but there literally are many reasons that pertain specific to our own lifestyle.
      Michelle’s comfort level, ease of going places we want to go, ease of operating video equipment in a truck vs the motorhome (trust us on this one, it’s been a nightmare) 😂
      Quality, less to worry about, holds value better...the list literally goes on. Does it have cons, yes but the pros outweigh the cons “for us”. 😊🤓

      The flooring was something we didn’t even really notice, so I’m guessing it would be fine. The 33’ Classic is definitely much more roomy in the bathroom, bigger closet for clothes and the 33’ vs the 30’ would be about the same as far as getting in National Parks. We never tried staying IN a NP yet, because we need cell phone service for work. We always stay within driving distance from a NP and visit that way by auto. We hope to stay at a few sometime though.

    What do you do for money? Just curious. I see more and more people buying expensive vans having them rebuilt to their liking and going out on the road and I’m sure everybody’s not a millionaire, so for people like myself who live paycheck to paycheck, how can I do this?

      Hi Peggy! That’s a great question. Have you checked out our video where we go over ALL of our expenses for a full one year? That will give you an idea where you can see what you need to change to make it fit your budget. You do not need to make a lot of money to do this. It’s like anything...it all depends on your expenses. Your RV you decide to live in and what you decide to do for where you stay. A Thousand Trails resale membership (like an Elite or VIP) allows you to save a TON of money. Most of their campgrounds/resorts are around the coastlines, but even with that...you save a LOT. Then you can afford to stay somewhere else once in a while or do some dry-camping. Be sure to add the “Trails Collection” add-on and also the RPI add-on. Some RPI locations only charge you $10 a night. We are not rich, we just felt empty where we were, so we just found a way to live a more exciting lifestyle than what we were. Hope that makes sense and helps. Just do as much research as you can. The video I spoke about above should really help you get a better idea though. @@LivinRVision I will piggyback on this with my information, we retired we don't work we don't full time rv ,,,,we have a house in sun city Arizona 1974 build area by del webb really affordable for retirement and nice area, our rv is a bumper pull 28feet big tanks solar batteries this allows us to boondock and Arizona has many places probably the most but I looking at other states that has many places also. What people do for travel and relaxing is personal I see many going big then downsize, a trailer/rv is like a boat always something to fix remember the bigger the rv is the more cost and less places to camp . New isn't always the way to go research research research ask questions

    Question for ya, ...
    you have a Class A Vantana and you want to go to a pullbehind. ..... Why?

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому

      Because it will fit OUR needs better. If it were because of cost, we’d get something cheaper than an Airstream. They are not cheap that’s for sure. But I still love the Class A, just not suitable for us “right now”. We’ve answered in more details in some similar questions below.

    Having come from an AS to an SOB Moho, we won't tell you not to buy one. In fact, we'd advise the 33 if it fits your need, as it's a very good two person solution. However, AS built a new factory and is working through startup and capacity increase opportunities. Quality may be better in a couple of years. You should research, research, research. The plan might be to sell your coach while RV sales are hot, buy a tow vehicle (KYD Channel has an example), and burn some time until you buy your new home. Some folks play small ball while they learn and buy time. A Casita is a place to live. A rented storage space lets you keep important gear. Alternatively, an inexpensive trailer would keep your cost down while you wait for the right time. Maybe less trouble to keep Vinnie. Also there are opportunities to purchase used from someone who found their purchase to be unsatisfactory. Some care is needed to not end up with a lemon, but lots of issues just need to be worked through. Good luck with your search.

      There’s a lot here that we agree with. We’ve followed Marc and Trish for over a couple years now. Understand what you’re saying. I’ve played this same game with cars and houses in the past. We do quite a bit of research but always open to suggestions as you never know what you may find out. We do have a plan but it also depends on how things fall together. Thanks so much for giving your advice from your experience. 🧡😊🤓

    I love the look of an Airstream but every time I see one I can only think of hailstorms. Haha.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  4 роки тому +1

      I know...but then again, every time I look at anything else I think of all the things that will go wrong more-so than an Airstream. 😂 And they should hold there value better. Who knows though...it’s not a good time yo buy, so hard to say if we’ll change our minds. 😂

      If the hail is large enough to damage your Airstream, it will damage your tow vehicle and do damage to other trailers as well.
