Was Audio Phil a roadie for Spinal Tap?
"Why not make 100 watts the highest setting?"
"This one goes up to 200."
😂
Hey, Phil, did you just say QUAD erat demonstratum? That means you are getting 400 watts for the price of 100 by my reckoning! Just gets better and better!
This is why I use a Quad amp in my studio.
WOW Phil: Free energy
Phil also has an enhanced perpetual motion exercise cycle that gives him more energy the faster he pedals.
When a man says QED, he means it.
What Phil says makes me think he is perfectly human...
yes.perfectly stupid.🤣
Is Phil an ad man working for NICAM?
Wake me up when Audio Masterclass misses 🔥🔥😩😩💯
I noticed if I painted flames on the side of my amps they also had much more power... just sayin'
You also need racing stripes from between your speakers to your listening position.
I figured that you can get more power from turning the volume control..... and yes it get's louder.
"Let's have faith".
Another very common way is to have it made in China. They aways get 200 watts from a 100 watt amplifier.
100 watts? In PWPO that's just shy of 20.000 watts...
Sounds like how a bank lends out money that they don't actually have. Just think if you could invest in 5 different stocks using the exact same pool of money simultaneously.
Fractional reserve audio. I'll get Phil to invent it.
I wonder what Debbie would have to say about that.....cheers.
Debbie loves music and she doesn't pay much attention to Phil's technical talk. Betty on the other hand sometimes want to rip him to shreds.
I'd pay to see that.@@AudioMasterclass
Which shampoo does Audio Phil use ? Great hair. Living in the Hollywood Hills must help.
Double the watts ? As Peter, Paul and Mary said : If I had a hammer....
Oh man, that summer.
Phil has a sonic hair care system but at present he's keeping the details to himself.
Good ‘ol’ Audio Phil… if he actually had any brains he’d be dangerous. Fortunately…
This is much like interlacing.. use 540 lines per frame to create a 1080i video 😂
lmao
Nope, the duty cycle will never exceed 50%.
😵💫there you go thinking about averages, just like all the others that don't understand dynamics lol
I bet Phil is an accountant. Creative with numbers but lacking in the real world. 😇
I know people who are much like Phil. Their flawed logic is so profound that it compels you to show the error in their ways. In most cases there is little to be gained, so save the energy. Sometimes it is entertaining to goad them into a one sided argument. What fun it would be to invite Phil and the ladies over for dinner and I could turn on my just good enough Hi Fi.
You'll find Phil a more polite guest than you expect. He'll listen to your inadequately resolving system carefully, then when he's back home in his listening room he'll enjoy his own system all the more.
@@AudioMasterclassand the Earth would stop spinning on its axis when it is revealed that Phil does not have perfect pitch.
@@Flarptube Do you have perfect pitch?
@@Flarptube Don't worry! Phil can judge distortion by ear to within 0.1 of a percentage point.
I used to just good enough perfect pitch, but now I have perfect tinnitus. @@ac81017
No AI here at all. All humans. True and Real. Trust and peace.
plug it in twice
That's hilarious. But back to a small dose of reality, some class D amps can produce more output than their power supplies are rated for, not because of any breaks in the laws of physics or because of voodoo electronics in the amp, but simply because the power supplies that come with them can sometimes create quite a bit more current than they are rated for. Williston Audio Labs has demonstrated this with one supply generating (if I remember correctly), almost twice its rated current when the amp was driving a low impedance load. Of course, your mileage WILL vary. And who knows how long such a power supply will last under those conditions.
Hmm. It just comes into my mind, that this PS has 100V-230V / 2.5 A on it. And I started to think ...
I knew it all the time....trust me
Hoc stercus tauri est, Phil.
Don't worry. Phil won't understand.
@@AudioMasterclass 🤣 Keep up the great work David!
AI - artificial intelligence... what part of the word "artificial" do people not understand!😂😂
Nice thought, but unfortunately it won't work that way, because performance is the product of work and time. It doesn't help if you divide the work by using the left channel for one period of time, the right channel for the next period, etc.
🤣🤣
We all should power our houses and industries with class D power amp’s, the climate problem is solved 💪. Finally!
At least half of it. 🤣
@@thomaslutro5560 you’r right. Well, let’s use 7.1 channel power amp’s instead. That will do the job for the next 300 years. 💪
Phil, Nope, it won't work, as you just integrate high frequency pulses to the mean. As you are only sending half the normal number of pulses to each channel then you get half the power, so 50W / side. I would love to see the circuit that would make this work> :- )
My Tesla has quad turbos and kicks in like a vtech BRO.
You’re telling me people didn’t know this? I’ve been doing it for years
its a joke
@@SocialGore quick call air traffic control! There’s my joke flying at 20,000 above your head! 😀
Yeah really. 100 watts to one channel half the time and 100 watts to the other channel the other half of the time. The key word here is "half". half of 100 watts is still 50 watts. 50 watts + 50 watts is 100 watts. What do you mean 200 watts?
