This just reminds me how great the Fender Rumble amps are. I swear they're the best bass combo amps ever made. I bet most of what people like in the "bass tone" in this video is coming from the amp.
That 60's jazz in fiesta red and the seafoam green 50's p from the first vintera series are really the most awesome looking extra cool basses, killer tones too
A brand new Vintera II Bass VI? Do you know if it's ever been properly set up where you're at? If it's brand new and fresh from Fender, I wouldn't assume it's dialed in. The amount of neck relief may also be due to the climate difference between Southern California where it was made versus where it lives now. Edit: @7:30 Everything Anthony Pecora said related to this is true. If you don't have a shop you buy from and have tech work done, I very much recommend getting the correct tools and the find readily available free resources to learn to do your own setups.
... I have mostly MM guitars and basses, from classic and player to Vintera series. They're wonderful instruments for the price. I'm waiting for a fretless jazz bass Vintera version of the "Pastorius" one. Even Squier did it, I can't understand why they don't produce a Vintera fretless one
Anthony, I think this bass has an incredible sound. I would like to ask you a question. Of these Fender Vintera models, do you prefer this 60 or the 70?
Buy both!!! A good collection has a P and a J. That said, I am a P player more often. Do you slap? Do you like a modern tone? Do you need versatility? If yes... then go J. Thanks for watching - Anthony

Indeed
They sound good but make every bass sound similar and always sound too compressed
@@carlton1390 Fender and single coils sounds compressed since the 50´s and people loved it.
Sure, but people have played Fenders since then and some like dynamics and control of compression@@jcsk8
You're talking about Fender Rumble amps right? Single coil pickups don't create compression.@@jcsk8
Just picked up a black one and I switched out to custom shop pick ups big difference. I didn’t think there would be but huge difference….. love it
Did you get the Pure vintage 66 pups?
No I got custom shop 60’s
Wow that bass has serious bite. Sounds great and growls. Nice!

Great sounds. The Rumble is the best match for Fender basses IMO. So clean and greasy.
I like the Slab Rosewood, Ebony, and Maple Fretboards on the Fender's Jazz Bass
Incredible Jazz Bass 😍😍💖💖
Thanks for sharing Anthony great playing too 🎶🎵🎸
Anthony can make any bass sound good. When you get it home, it might not sounds like that !!!
@trailblazeratv6306
Well maybe you ought practice until you get that good. Me I'm not worried about how he sounds I'm worried about how I soundPyramid
Another great demo, man.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Thanks for watching - Anthony

what would you choose between this and the player plus?
New York region 🤔 time to put on my Sherlock hat and become an inSPECTOR
I’ll admit they look and sound good, but are they worth $400 more than the other Mexico bass, the Player ii ? I’m not so sure 🤔
If they’re gonna do 60s. Why not do concentric pots?
This or the Vintera ii P bass?
