I know. MM's lives were always so fantastic! As much as I love Gackt as a solo artist, I do often miss his Malice Mizer days...He just seemed happier somehow back then at times...I dunno. His smiles were just more frequent and genuine. He tries to hide them so much nowadays. It's a shame, 'cause he looks beautiful when he smiles ^.^
I think he WAS happier back then. Fame may have given him worse self esteem, that's how I interpret it when he talks about his "former self" in interviews however.

They have backup orchestra that you can't see. If you noticed, they use a lot more instruments then you think. The orchestra (though I don't know for sure) is either under the stage, or behind it.

he had his reasons and he was in the right. plus in a way he was also kicked out by management. gackt received unfair treatment from the other members plus he was really the only one getting stuff done. not to mention mana took all the credit for what gackt himself composed. ever wondered why le ciel is the last song he made with them and why it's the only one that is shown to be by him? it's because at that point he had to force them to give him credit for his own work. besides, management kicked him out because they already were able to tell that if he went solo he would've gotten more success, which turned out to be very, VERY true. also, he still expressed that he wished to have still been a member but that he didn't mind it much. but YES, he was initially planning to leave. he's on good terms with mana now though. and obviously they would've made up considering by the time that things were okay between them was revealed it had already been 10 years lol
