The grenade launcher isn’t TERRIBLE per say, but it’s really only useful in confined spaces (which admittedly is fairly often, but is still hard to warrant using it over something like the shotgun). They should make it so that the grenades explode on impact if they travel a certain distance before landing to make it more useful at longer ranges, while also keeping it’s close range weakness.
I play with the grenade launcher a lot and you are not wrong. The most important thing is to get above the target....and never stop firing. Never. Same goes for either medium or heavy launcher. Works really well when defending points. Ive been enough of a problem that I've had entire teams come hunt me down on my perch.
I run heavy with grenade launcher, rocket launcher, c4 and the mesh shield with a flame thrower in reserve. Love it ❤❤❤❤❤ This game has the best destruction since Bad Company 2…. Thank you old school DICE devs for joining the EMBARK team!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤

Im addicted to heavy's grenade launcher, manage to kill 12 but ranked 2nd in game. Lol. hate when it is close combat especially facing melee weapons from Light class. still thinking how to counter that using the Dash smash perk ability (cmiiw). but i hate the bouncy grenade.

If the grenades exploded on impact it would be a decent weapon but I find people running circles around me and the reload takes 5 years.

I love the GL when teammates are running tracking or sonar cuz it’s really the only weapon that can shoot and kill around corners.
