You gotta be ready for everything yknow what I’m saying?
There's a soft spot in my heart for war stories. It brings tears to my eyes knowing that they were men like this and yet here I am worthless sitting watching UA-cam.
At least you're not one of the many worthless kids on here memeing about the poor men who actually died in this war

@@andrewlopez6225 Yes agreed.
laaaaame
try to keep it that way, every one of those men would swap with you in a second
WW1 is one of the saddest and most brutal wars
Edit: to give context on the replies this account used to be named Joseph Stalin
One of the deadliest, sure. But i can think of far more brutal wars for either both or for the losing side
Why is that your profile
(meanwhile 20 years later the soviet union loses 30 million people in WW2)
Ok "Joseph Stalin"
Oh whats up comrade stalin
That was absolutely fantastic. I’d love to hear a combat story from Vietnam. Either side will do.
Videos of people's true stories are some of the best videos on this channel.
Should have got an old british man to narrate.......this feels like being in a trench in ww1 is a minor inconvenience.
@Rusto You want serious reality? Go watch a documentary.
The reason is that the person this is following is an American
This is from the point of view of a American soldier not a British soldier.
@@brandonarmienti6875 Americans barely did any trench Warfare compared to us French and british who were there since 1914 tho, so it's a weird choice
@@kevinkchao8 you seriously don’t listen to what they’re saying then. The absurdity of that statement is mind blowing

Oh I am sorry for not being born before ww1 so I could grt blown up
Ok boomer
Also, CY he’s acting like a boomer. War is a fool’s game, and a waste of precious life, not to mention the cost in money and resources.
It’s definitely an eye opener. I find myself being a negative whiner more often than I’d like to admit but diving into history makes me question my priorities. Regardless of the fact that most wars are unnecessary, a lot of these soldiers were kids shipped off to almost certain death under the impression that it was what was made a man. It’s sad and I couldn’t be more thankful that I haven’t found myself in that situation. People call you a “boomer” for this comment but you’re right!
Well from an Americans perspective who only joined the war right at the end, the German trenches may have seemed empty and the war may have seemed over, yet it still seemed like a very frightening experience for an American soldier. I can only imagine what the real allied soldiers that survived went through for four years and also while the war was at its peak.
Brooooo, this guy has gone through sooooo much! I know you don't like to talk about it, and it's very understandable, but you have to tell the story. The only way to spread the anti-war message is to tell the story. This incredible story.
War is sometimes necessary.

The modem sound after the whack on the head with a rifle is a hilarious anachronism. 7:43 😂👍👍
thank you for your service
I like how the animation when the soldier falls due to the untied laces suggests that in such a scenario the worst that would happen is you'd get mud on your uniform and be a bit cross.

I like how there is an m1 Abrams tank in the background
I like there’s a abrams in the background
first the german puts a magazine in his clip fed rifle then the British soldier puts a magazine in his rifle when there already a one in it and just puts the magazine a few inches from where it should be
0:17 well that was terrifying
As a young man growing up in a very wuit and peaceful area watching back these videos makes me reasosie history is both amazing and terrifying to see what people actually had to do to survive and help there country found out my Nan lived through world war 2 and it just makes me thing wow if she didn’t survive where would I be and totally of topic was just me who had to Google what quagmire meant
I don't remember the tank "little willu" participating into battle, and one of the hull of the destroyed tanks in the background is too moderny
It is awesome to watch the infographics show I like you verses pennywise
5:15 WHAT? WHY IS THE GERMAN PUTTING A MAGAZINE IN HIS GEWEHR
"improvments"
Yeah he put a mag in wrong spot of le Enfield
Y’all should do a campaign through Europe WW2. Similar to surviving 500 days in nuclear war. But following one or a group of soldiers through their WW2 campaign
Part two please
Its so hard still to think it was all real even from all the pictures and videos
His character has been through a lot
1:55 the franch🤣🤣
Me casually questioning why there is a modern tank at 0:37
Did you know that some soldiers would fall into a crater so deep that they would either die of starvation or thirst. Now that’s a death sentence.

@@TheSuperhoden, history podcast. And it makes sense. Imagine an explosive flying directly down around 100 meters a second smashing into soft earth before exploding.
@@rickylafleur9601 you can easily crawl. Or dig out a stairs. Ive read a lot about the war and seen every episode of ww1 week by week here on UA-cam and never heard of it
@@TheSuperhoden, ww1 history is pretty shallow on UA-cam. And it’s pretty hard to crawl out of a 20 feet deep hole covered in barbed wire and bodies.
@@rickylafleur9601 its an enjoyable show and ive never read about it anywhere or never heard about it in any documentary
And corpses can be piled. Barbed wire was used infront of trenches, not halfway in between the lines in no mans land
The trench warfare was a horrible place, never shall soldiers and the men and women who fight for us live in these conditions. Even better, never live in terror and war.
Someone actually lived this live. Not just someone, hundreds of thousands of soldiers lived under these horrible conditions.. We as humans are really animals once it comes down to it.. It actually really frightens me what we are capable of
Imagine if that Christmas story, where they paused the war for coffee, if both side met in the middle as the front line. Change uniform to shoot one direction or another, and call in the artillery overhead to pass over. Get enough offices in on the BS and everyone survives and goes home after the war, because a stalemate lasting forever would eventually make the leaders sue for peace. The generals back home would see their front line creeping calling it success for a while then snap back to the old lines and wonder what gives.
EPICCC POGGGG
Can you do a video about James Hubert, aka the McDonald’s massacre?
nice story
When do you do another challenge video
My great great grandpa served in WW1 on the German side he got the flu and returned at the last few weeks of the war he was very deaf because of the flu
description is wrong, this is not life in the trenches during WW2, its during WW1.

I really appreciate how they actually have these dudes historically accurate uniforms. Based on the uniforms, this video takes place in 1915. Gas mask aren’t accurate though but whatever.
also Abrams hulls in the backgrounds, reloading a magazine into a gun that has an integral clip fed magazine
@@TheZINGularity Yeah but I’m talking about the uniforms here. But there are many issues that need fixing.
Is the rifle animated in the video an M1-Garand?
