How do you get the Mixtrax to work? Everytime I push mine it just brings up a time counter and never 'mixes' the songs. I had an older pioneer with mixtrax and I dont remember having to do anything special...? I downloaded the app, I can skip songs and control it through the head unit etc but mixtrax doesn't seem to work?
So I just installed one of these to replace an older Pioneer, and now my subs are super quiet. When I press the "BASS" button it makes my BT audio sound quiet and staticky. This sucks, any ideas?
The RCA pre-amp outputs on this stereo provide a 2volt signal level which may be lower than the stereo it replaced. If this is the issue, you can add an external line driver to boost the pre-amp signal level before your subwoofer amp:

texmextu2 no problem I tried 3 different new Pioneer head units and they all sounded terrible. No idea why even with 4V pre-outs. Luckily the rear plug hasn't changed so I was able to return them as uninstalled.The ARC app is really nice though
Does all iphone audio go through car speakers? I use a youtube music downloader app on my iphone, does it work with this car radio through bluetooth?
If the app allows it's audio to be transmitted via Bluetooth (most do), then, yes, you will be able to hear it when synced with the Pioneer's built-in Bluetooth.

What are the differences between the models Pioneer DEH-S5000BT and DEH-S5010BT ?
We don't carry the S5010BT model to fully know its abilities. But I did see that they share the same manual and I couldn't find anything in that manual to set one apart from the other. I'd recommend calling Pioneer on 800-421-1404 to get help on this.

Just installed the DEH-S5000BT and FM/AM/CD/AUX all seems to work with sound. We bluetooth connected a Sony XA2 Phone to it but no sound. It shows BT and then the title of the song it is playing. Turn up all the volume on the phone and the headunit. Still nothing. Any suggestion as to why I am not getting sound via Bluetooth?
I've looked through the manual for help troubleshooting this issue of no Bluetooth audio. The only recommendation there is to go through the pairing process again to see if that helps. If that doesn't help any and you purchased it from Crutchfield, I recommend speaking with the technical support department for help. If you purchased it elsewhere and they cannot help, you should try calling Pioneer on 800-421-1404 for help.
