Really looking forward to that video on LSG since they've stopped responding on all social media and have stopped updating their project's development/delivery state.
Dark Horizon Games is a new company, but you wouldn't think so due to their professional attitude. They are very active in the comments section of the original Earth Under Siege campaign, and they give regular updates without being scared to discuss bad news/delays. You can tell how passionate they are about their games. I would venture to say that their communication is better than most companies out there, and the game itself is very high quality and fun to play.
Earth Under Siege was one of my favourite games of last year, so I will definitely be backing. I like Massive Darkness, but I have such a huge collection already, I need to walk away?!
It seems you forgot to mention that Vampire: The Masquerade - Chapters (Definitive Edition) is now live on Gamefound and that people should be aware of that company (Flyos) since they have done some nasty stuff with their now delayed Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Retaliation which you covered a year ago to reduce their shipping price, for a product that hasn't shipped nor produced yet. People from their previous campaign are complaining now since they have increased shipping prices again for backers of their original campaign to fix what they did wrong the first time.
Awesome video! I, too, am a Massive Darkness outlier. I definitely prefer the simplicity of the first MD for a fun dungeon romp. I dig your Rock breaker Ogre from your mini painting video days (remember when you did painting videos😮?) I don't blame you at all for making the switch to commentary/news.
Thank you for the foreword on LSG and taking the time to put a large factual video together. I don't expect them to comment, but I hope they do. Thank you for focusing here on the positives of this community and the exciting new games comming out.
Lazy Squire Games. The made Wild Assent and Stormsunder. Which are both overdue by years and are now selling their mini modelling capabilities to others to keep themselves running.
Do you ever paint minis that aren’t from board games? Like just cool figures for display? I know you’ve talked about painting videos. I would love to watch those. Even if it’s just a vlog type of video hanging out while you paint. It’s relaxing to me watching those…
Yes! Though I don't film them anymore. Perhaps I should! I do have a filmed min painting from Celestial I've yet to edit. Have been hoping I could put it up along with the campaign but that's yet to happen lol. I paint 40k but also just display stuff, normally stuff I print.
I've been very busy so haven't been able to watch these so early lately. I really like Ion Core, and Ascendancy appeals to me since I read a lot of DungeonCore novels.
@@TheKingofAverage Essentially a person is reborn into a dungeon core (stone) and must defend themselves in the dungeon. Typically against heros/villians/guilds. Mainly fantasy.
I am interested in Master of Orion and Foxpaw and i hope to be able to Late pledge them at some point. Also, i am following that Abyss game but the minituares, the map design and some of the things they are offering isnt exactly my taste. I am leaving a follow for that Earth under siege game. I know about that Darksider board game and i am also fan of the franchise- one of the local stores were/ are selling it and i was consider getting it but when i saw that enemies are just standees i decided to not getting it. If it was coming with miniatures pack or something like that, i would be getting it. What are the chances if Gothic is a success, THQ Nordic to decide to try run it again with Darksiders board game? (look for example at CP2077: Gangs of Night city and CP2077:TBG) I think they teased a new game coming last year. Great video, have a great day!
@@TheKingofAverage I agree. They can go for even more- Angelic/Demonic forces as SGs and addons to bring new missions/dungeons/bosses/characters and stuff like that.
to be honest I have been underwhelmed with whats being offered so far this year for backing which for me is a good thing as I want to take a massive step back from backing stuff, as I have to much coming 25/26
I was really excited about the Blasphemous, the dark theme, the minis looks absolutely stunning. But as far as they started to reveal new details, my hype decreased step by step. This uppgradeable dice in theory sounds good, I think in practice it is at least questionable decision. :) The other thing, I think the downtime between players will be a bit long and my friends will start checking phones and bore after few turns. On the contrary I was not excited at all about Masters of Orion, but I read the rulebook, checked some videos, and this game looks really good.
Blasphemous looks interesting, and I have liked LMS games, but those upgradable dice make me nervous about durability, and LMS has a LOT of undelivered games, which also concerns me.

Thank you so much for the kind words! It means a lot to us, it really does
100%! As long as the professionalism is high, these smaller teams without huge backlogs can really shine brighter than the "big names" in this regard!
Thanks King!
Doing awesome work over there!

Two more to add to your Upcoming list; Star Realms Conquest and Nanty Narking Cthulhu. Both on Gamefound in preview.
Okay I knew of the first but the 2nd is new to me? Will check it out
I can't wait when you coverMonsterpocalypse

Oh I will look into that!

Dungeon romp - so well put!
I miss those days sometimes. I keep wanting to make mini painting videos again, but man were they a lot of work!

I don’t recognize the abbreviation but who is LSG
Lazy Squire Games.
The made Wild Assent and Stormsunder.

I'm hyped for Terminus Frontier hitting KS in February.
Next news video I'll be covering that one and a few others!
@TheKingofAverage awesome, can't wait. Thanks for all the top-quality vids man!

What are dungeon core novels? Sounds cool!
@@TheKingofAverage Essentially a person is reborn into a dungeon core (stone) and must defend themselves in the dungeon. Typically against heros/villians/guilds. Mainly fantasy.
@ Oh, I forgot. They usually have magic, summon monsters, a dungeon fairy/familiar and build their dungeon/caves/floors.
Gothic is in. Official Legacy of Kain Blood Omen board game starts its crowdfunding on BACKERKIT tomorrow
Wait really?!
@TheKingofAverage Yes. I tried to provide a link but not sure if it posted. A quick search will get you to the page.
Your wife has great taste in games! 🤘
That she does! It takes a lot to tear her away from painting her Death Guard, but this one certainly did!

Not sure, but I think a nice ultimate edition with full minis would certainly be nice!

problem with ludus magnus..their games are always years late!...like 2-4 years late!.
did you happen to read the Blacklist games KS post on Lasting Tales?
ugh....
No, will read it after work today!
Massive Darkness 2.5 will probably have Zombicide cards.
Ah they normally do have that huh?

I always ban people from looking at phones when were playing board games.
This is key for my group as well. Down time is huge and eventually they leave the table, etc.
I'll have to look more into Blasphemous it sounds like!
