This is absolutely long overdue for the 🧊iceman & Hall of Fame coach Tom Flores. Congratulations on the 2-time Super Bowl 🏈Champion Head Coach and now the Hall of Fame head coach.
The great number 93 Greg Townsend should be in the Hall of Fame he has over 100 sacks he made Howie Long the player he was
It’s the other way around Howie Long was double & triple teamed that let Greg Townsend open but I do agree that Greg Townsend also belongs in Canton and also Plunkett ,Branch , Lester Hayes ,Phil Villapiano , Jack Tatum , George Atkinson ,Henry Lawrence & Dave Dalby both have the three super bowl victories like Cliff Branch , Steve Weisnuski , Don Mosebar , Matt Millen , Rod Martin

People forget just how good the early 80s Raiders teams were. The 1983 team is so underrated, that team was just stacked and very well coached as well.
In the Superbowl, they held the #1 scoring team in NFL history to 9 points (until the 98 Vikings broke the Redskins scoring record) in an era when teams could play defense. Haynes and Hayes on the corners were awesome. You're right, they are so underrated. I remember watching their games. Damn... I"m getting old. :)
Even Al Davis said the 1983 group was the best Raider team of all. He should know.
That’s right not a lot of people know that the raiders started practicing in Santa Cruz. Thanks for mentioning that coach that’s special to me wish I knew exactly where they practiced at. Being not to far from there in Watsonville.

The first quarterback in Raiders history and later the head coach of the Raiders after John Madden retired. Those were big shoes to fill but he did great. Congratulations Tom. Well deserved.

I remember coach coming to Wilson school in Sanger after super bowl 1981. I still have the picture he gave the students
He came to my jr high school in1984 a few months after super bowl victory vs redskins , Marcus Allen & Dokie Williams also gave us a poster of the whole team

So that make him less Hispanic? You must be from another state! Lot's of people young and old from California and that are full Mexican don't speak Spanish. Older people because they were looked down apon because they did speak it and younger people weren't taught because of things there parents went through. Should be proud of any person let a loan a Hispanic persons that succeeded in there profession and this man was the first in alot of catalogs. If he was black he would of had a 60 for 60 or a movie.

Think he was a little overshadowed by Madden, even though he won two Super Bowls to Madden's one his 1980 squad was still mostly Madden's team. The '83 Raiders were mostly his though. One great coach following another great coach.
