In the jungle of poorly made DIY vids on how to do "suspension", this one stands out and is very good / nice to watch. Very good editing and "production".
I don’t trust anyone else except you for dirt bike vids
Not even rocky mount atv?

Bill of all the You tube channels Cameron is the most professional, articulate and seems to care about helping US. I.E. I thanked him for walking me thru recovering my seat, he was happy for me and said that he was glad to help.
Outstanding instructions and videography, great work Cameron
Fantastic video. I asked a motorcycle mechanic about swapping the fork lugs recently and he said it can't be done. I knew that wasn't the case but it is awesome to see a video proving him wrong.
2 videos on 1 day....whaaaaaaat!!!! Hahaha keep them coming bro
Your videos are theraputic for me. Awesome content and editing as always. Shop and tool goals for real.
Thanks for watching!
damn man your channel has wayyyyy to few viewers for the quality of video and content u produce. Really cool and fun to watch. It is always nice to see somebody making that effort to show things that are not shown a 1000 times before on dirtbikes. Keep on the good work!
You are the first person I have seen do a video over this. This is awesome information and I’m really glad someone finally covered it! I always like to know how things go together because you never know when you will need to use the information.
Thanks for watching man!
Thanks Cameron. Exactly the video I needed to solve my problem!
Cam, youre so right. Most people don't go to this degree of disassembly so theres not a lot of info out there on it. I've always wondered as my fork lowers are getting RATTY. thanks for making this video, and making it look overly simple :)
Your videos are amazing mate, so much detail explained which is so helpful👍 keep it up🤘
great video. clean shop. detail work.
where and what type of coating were you doing on the lower fork tubes?
mine is chipped and i had no idea what it was called or how to get started. Thank you for both shock videos man, you are the best on youtube no doubt
I wouldn’t go anywhere else for learning how to do things on my bike thanks for sharing your knowledge

Very nice video! You are damn right, there is no video about removing these parts, actually first time for me seeing them separatetly, thanks a lot Cameron! Keep it pryme 👌🏼
Thanks for watching! Glad I could be the first one
I have been trying to t-shoot a leak from the base of the fork tube and your video has solved it. Now, I can also fix it without sending it out.
Well done. Good work.
Keep building it's amazing...and beatiful😉😀
Thanks!
It never occurred to me that those could come off haha. I thought they were cast on, duh! Thanks for another great, high quality video.
Thanks for watching man!
Always a pleasure.
Some mechanic told me you have to change the whole thing.
This video was super detail and well made. THANK YOU.
1. What coating did you use on your forktubes and shock shaft?
2. Does the coating you used, reduce "friction" or mainly for cosmetic look?
3. If it does reduce friction, could you please let me know where was it done and how much each item cost to do?
Thanks
Really need these video... It's help full for.. Thanksalot bro
Love the camera work man👍🏼
Thanks!
This helped me. Thank you.
Keep it up I am doing a bike build rn
Hey Cameron, I am doing a set of forks that won’t seem to pull apart!? Do you have any ideas or solutions ?
Thanks man 👍

Thanks man!

Dude , you just saved my day!
Very usefull information 😊 thanks!
What type of metal is the lugs made of ? I bent the left lug where the front brake mounts do you think I will be able to bend it back with a little heat ? Or will have to buy a whole new lug
Good job dude! I love your channel more & more day after day...
Thank you!
Hi✌. Excellent video is pleasant to me, I have a Honda CR250 only 1998 of release too.
Love your videos bro
You turn stock parts into gold! Can you make also a video testing screw thread inserts which is the best? Kind regards
Did you put loctite back on the fork lug threads? Did one myself and was wondering if the loctite kept fluid from seeping out the threads
❤… hi ..to change the damper/bump stop, can we dismantle only the clevis side without dismantling the seals is advisable.
Another excellent vid
If you have the right tools the job gets done right. was looking at fork tube extenders otherday would be great way of jacking bike up even more especially with jackup link's on the back. they cnc made so really quality just screw on the tops instead of the cap's
High pressure hydraulic sealant would work really well on this application (acts like a medium strength loctite)
Threadlock maybe a bit hard core for alloy threads
My inner fork tube have vertical scratches that keep blowing my fork seals. Will buffing them with white compound possibly remove those scratches or should I just order new tubes?
I’m going to save up and get myself those clamps 🤠
Hey…are you able to tell me what torque setting is required for re-installation of the tube into the lug?
Amazing bro 💪🙌
Greetings from Chile 👌👌
Thanks man!
Your are just brilliant
Keep it up bro
Thanks man!
"Sketchy Business" excellent phrase. Can I borrow that ? :) BTW Windex..... Who'd have thought . What next ?!. Always extremely professional "wrenching" Cameron !
Haha thanks Paul! Have at it!
Hey bro, love the vids man! Watching the whole playlist!
Just a quick question, can you remove the clevis without having to strip the full shock down?
Obviously take the spring off, but from there would you be able to remove the clevis without havent to get rid of the nitrogen or oil?
once you bleed the gas via the shraeder valve can you then take off the clevis without having to take apart the upper portion?
nice work
Thank you! I need to pull the lugs off my forks and had no idea how to do that
after you get the bottom of were you get new seal for inside the lug?
You king broo !!!
Very good info!
Thanks Andrew!
2 videos in one day😱
Cameron, I want to ask you Tusk FORK seals yes or no and Tusk clutch plates? I enjoy your channel. Thanks again for all the effort and work you do.
Yes, I've had great luck with all Tusk products. Not one issue yet
@@CameronNiemela thanks. I'm going to give them a try when it's time. Thanks again for your channel.
Do you have a torque spec for reinstalling
Hello Cameron good video 👌👌👌nice

Can you remove the fork lug with the fork fully assembled on a 99-02 kyb fork?
Who does your coating on lower fork tubes
Just Amazing! 😯
Thanks!
where can you get replacement seals for the lugs, cr250r
Shiney shiney 😍
hello Cameron i am a jamaican with a problem where my front axle bolt not going all the way because of a cross thread inside my fork lugs can i get it fix at a machine shop to make new threads
Who is doing your titanium coating, or the name of the place. Bike is turning out great
Thanks AJ! I'll be discussing that in the upcoming videos. I want to make sure they're reliable before I refer others to them
Hey bud is your contest still open for contestants? Also this was the video that helped me to commit to removing the lugs on my 125 to get them dlc coated. Just did my first leg today and it came out successful. You’re an awesome instructor. BTW: KYB’s are supposed to be a little tougher than Showa because the lock nut stubby is very brittle. Either way thanks for the help! To the PVD factory I go!
Also I had to use a diamond cutter milling tool the grind out the smashed threads on the tubes so I didn’t destroy the lugs. It’s a must on KYB forks. 👍🏼🤙🏼👌🏼
G’day. Can’t find the link to buy those fork tools
New suscriber 👍
I noticed in my right fork the lug has some play. It can wiggle a bit. Is this a concern? Or does this mean it wasn't tightened enough? How can I fix it? (It's a new motorcycle...)
What size was that alan you used
Man you are awesome 👏
Thank you!
Make a video by restoring a 1996 Honda cr80 plisss 👏👏👍👍👍
Alonso the 96-2002 cr80 and 2003-2007 CR85 are the same bike.
What is the tap seal tool...?
Cleanest dirt bike in cosmos.
Just in time to watch your vidss lol
