Just wondering if you have ever packaged the 64-bit Adobe Reader Installer?
I have tried but for starters when run there didn't appear to be an msi temporarily created, instead if just goes online downloads and installs.
So far I haven't been able get the 64 bit version packaged and because the 32-bit has randomly been upgraded on some machines Intune then errors due to the 32-bit path changing to the 64-bit path and trying to install it again.

I do have a Question - the parameters for the adobe installer extracting, namely sfx_o and sfx_ne. Are these and others documented somewhere - I could not find a reference off hand.

This is really helpful. The only issue(not sure if I should call it an issue) is that the package i was struggling to make silent was of 446 MBs whereas this one of same version shows 585 MBs.

One odd issue I came across was when running -sfx_ne while extracting the MSI is the setup kept trying to install on the computer the command was run on. I extracted the files using 7zip

Hey Harry, great videos on deploying Adobe via Intune, really helpful. Can I ask, I've Enabled the auto update on as part of the customisation but when the user installs an update it errors as it's looking for the IMEcache location (InstallLocation) which has cleared on installation. I don't know if you've seen this before or if you could recommend a workaround. Thanks again.

I followed the instructions from your previous video and this one, but I was working with Adobe Acrobat instead of Reader. Everything worked great, but when I opened Adobe Acrobat on the laptop that Adobe was pushed to, it asked me to sign in (which makes sense), but when I tried to sign in I received a message that said my operating system or browser is not up to date. Everything is up to date.
I google it and came across an article on the Adobe website that told me that I needed to replace the AASlapp.exe file in Program Data with another AASlapp.exe file which they provided a download link for. That actually fixed the issue, but this makes deploying this way pointless if I have to do this for every laptop.
Any thoughts?

Hi, fantastic video. Just have one problem. Everything works fine when running setup. But once i run it in silent mode adding /sall the installation works, but pdf preview handler in outlook and explorer dozs not work. Checked registry keys etc and that is all fine. The only change is the silent install comment any ideas?
Thanks! This continuously updating Adobe Acrobat Reader install is working very well without error when deployed as a Required app to existing computers.
Initially, it also worked fine with W10 and W11 autopilot deployments,
but now the app installs hang up the autopiloting process on cleanly-built computers.
It seems there's a conflict between this Win32 install working concurrently with standard MS Office365 Professional during Autopilot.
I added a custom requirement for this Win32 Reader app:
The registry value "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\O365ProPlusRetail - en-us\DisplayName"
must exist before this Reader install starts.
This works without fail -- autopilot doesn't hang on software installs anymore. But the delayed Reader install doesn't happen until after the user's first reboot.
Is there a slicker, more refined option to delay a Win32 app install until after Office finishes installing and resolve this conflict?

Hi, Harry amazing content. Quick questin when trying to run the command to create a new folder within the downloads directory it does not seem to create the AdobeReaderDC folder. Is there any specific setting that needs to be set to create that folder? I am running Windows 11

Big fan of your video's and previously I packaged Adobe Reader for the business I work for in Intune using this method.
However, it only deployed the 32-bit Reader then sometime down the line it was upgraded to 64-bit which then started notifications popping up on users laptops because the path had changed to "Program Files" from "Program Files x86" and intune thought it wasn't installed, tried to install it and voila the errors started.
Do you know if there is a way to install the 64-bit version?
Appreciate any advice you can give me.

It's weird, but when I use msi file during the installation, it installs old 2015 release year version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Also, "make reader the default pdf viewer" wizard option does not work at all

How can I get the 64-bit version? Adobe has a page with two buttons, one says Adobe Pro and the other says Adobe reader but the Adobe reader installation installs pro. Kinda stuck here. There's also a download link that will show a popup of downloading the installation files that I cannot get to work on my work pc due to a content block, but I can get the installation file from this video to run, unfortunately it's not a 64-bit installation though like I need.
