- Well, this gave us some massive whiplash after playing Devil May Cry 2.. xD The tonal shift (and pretty much everything) is strong. We also were playing Ultrakill for about 3 hours before we did this too so we were a little extra angry.. sorry about that ^-^;
First impressions are great even if the game is a lot harder than the previous ones we have played, we are definitely more invested in the story this time though. Just blows our mind that we jumped to this from DMC2 XD

So here’s a fun Easter egg they did for this game: the opening cutscene to each mission displays the mission number at some point.
The ones from this episode were:
Mission 1: The pizza box has a 1 on it.
Mission 2: In the final shot, there’s a billboard in the background with a 2 on it.
Mission 3: Those demons Lady set on fire fall in the shape of a 3.
Mission 4: The flag to the left of Vergil is torn in the shape of a 4.
Mission 5: You actually noticed this one - the splatter from that blood bat on the wall at the end of the cutscene is shaped as a 5 (not an S. Sorry Sanna).

I love how DMC2 was such a slog that it basically became like Voldemort, he who shall not be named 😂. Also, playing a DMC game after Ultra Kill? Ya'll must be gluttons for punishment, but I respect the grind!

Dante is the best out of the characters in terms of creative freedom. I didn't relied on guns that much unless to lvl up gunslinger(Not worth it really). So it boggles my mind people don't like Dante in dmc5...where he is as complex and difficult as you make it. Still the origins of carefree Dante starts here but slowly declines thanks to dmc 1,2 and the anime then picks up his original dmc3 personality in 4,5

It seems playing DMC 1 and...... *that* made you girls forget what Devil May Cry is about: styling on everyone. Especially if you're alone
I love this game, it’s somehow more batshit insane than 5 and that’s saying something. While I would say that 5 is my favorite due to its gameplay, there’s no denying that 3 has the best story and is the most hilarious.
Y'all really just had a certified Kite classic moment at the end there, my god.

ah alright. little tip by the way, style affects how many hits an attack does. If you can get an SSS, million stabs hits about 22-27 times from my count. happy demon hunting!
I'm quite late to the party, but bosses do actually have specific weapons that they are weak too (Gigapede, that gigantic overgrown flying bug you were fighting has a weakness to cerberus for example) so I'd recommend experimenting with your loadouts against bosses ^^

Hot take:Cerberus isn’t hard. I beat him super easily. I beat this game for the first time recently and I was extremely surprised to learn that Cerberus was difficult to other first timers. Easy mode wasn’t selectable for me until I got to Beowulf.

When you guys finish dmc 3 and 4 I do recommend you guys to check out a manga call Devil may cry visions of v it follows V when he was cast out from Vergil until the point he reformed back with Urizen it explores a lot more about Vergil through V than the game ever did because the game keeping V identity and his motives a secret led to a lot of confusion so far I seen like few people manage to figure it out but a lot of people did not and that involved you guys I’m pretty sure that you guys did not know that he was a different person than he used to be after he was reformed well not entirely he still had some habits and personality of the Vergil we all know but better person than what he was personally in 3 and beginning of 5 it was because of his human part when V was cast out and went on a journey to return back as Vergil because he isn’t blinded by Vergil’s pride as that trait is from his demon side he was able to see and learn his mistakes that’s why Vergil in the end was able to let go of his grudge that he had with Dante and willing to stop the fight with Nero and Dante to stop the demon tree if he was the same person in dmc 3 he would not give a shit about I loved dmc v story about Vergil redemption I wished that the game shouldn’t have keep V’s thought a secret because not everyone was able to figure it out and let me be clear that he isn’t entirely a good guy he’s still a dick but better person than what he was previously so he’s more a anti hero
Keep in mind that 5 was our very first DMC game so of course we didn't understand that V and Vergil were the same person right away. That's just how the narrative of the game goes, V is called "The mysterious one" for a reason.
@@misaamgremlins yeah I know he is supposed to be mysterious but because of that I seen a lot of people did not managed to figure it out well it did show and said something about that but it isn’t very clear the first time I’m confused on few parts of it I check the fandom and heard other people explained about it to understand about it
@@leehoongjun2144 We didn't wanna look up stuff midway through the game since that would've spoiled the fun xD So we realized they were the same person once V explains it to Trish in the game

If you think this is hard you should've played the og dmc3 the normal difficulty was set to hard mode for the american release since fans complained about how easy dmc2 was they cranked up the difficulty slider for this game... There's your dmc3 trivia for today
