Love this style of video! Just wanted to let you know that I’ve been paying attention to and practicing on myself the way you do your eyeshadow. And I was finally able to accomplish it! Especially the patting motion on the outer eye and turning the brush over in the crease. I thought that would never work on my droopy eyelids but it does. As long as I pat some shadow on the fold as well. It gives my eyes a lifted effect! I normally end up with a dramatic outer V that I’m not crazy about but doing your technique really gives my eyes a more sophisticated youthful lifted eyes! Thank you so much! Just wanted to share😊❤️💄

Happy Thursday!!! 😊❤I wanted to ask you if you'd ever do a video about declutters /reorganising :your views on it, ideas and suggestions how to do it. There's a lot of content out there but it often seems very emotionally charged or unbalanced where people declutter too much /unthinking, nothing at all or because they feel overwhelmed/stressed, confuse throwing make up away w some sort of catharsis/changing habits, trying to be minimalist or the declutter only being applicable for influencers who bring in tons of things /archive items. I never see videos where someone who really loves make up, has a lot of make up knowledge, actually uses their make up etc gives level headed, good advice for the normal person of how one can approach/manage their make up, when to declutter, how to organise. You're the only person on YT I think would be competent to give helpful tips 😊
Thank you for your kind words! I've done some declutters here on YT - and I totally know what you mean about the "influencer declutters" where it almost feels like it's a monstrous declutter just for views. One way I really like to do it, is a "last chance" type of video (I've done a handful of these), where you do a full face of products that you're considering getting rid of, but in the application process, it allows you to really consider whether it's a keeper or not, and gives a great deal more info to the viewers. That's currently my favorite way to go about it. Although sometimes a certain section of my makeup needs a very focused declutter (like my powder drawer) - and for that, I'd probably go category by category within that section of products, seeing what I could possibly let go of. And just a general tip... I think shopping your stash frequently is important. Staying in tune with everything you have, not just the latest & greatest.

I just did this same thing! I found some great clear organizers at Aldi and really cleared out some stuff that I had not used in a long time. Feels so good to have just the stuff I am using on the regular. Now I need to be better about cleaning my brushes 😊
Have we ever gotten an Emily beauty room tour? I’d love to see how she organizes her drawers etc Emily just seems so normal and easy to identify with as opposed to some of the insanely expensive beauty room tours that are not at all attainable 😂😂

Hi Emily. Love a good organized space. Makes the creative process flow. I would love to see a full face of Laura Geller products. I would like you to make a video like one you made years ago, in which you put different products from each category in a bag, and without seeing, you took out a product and with that you made the makeup. I remember that I really enjoyed that video, it was exciting, greetings! I have been following you for many years, since a video of something that was used in your hair to make it look lifted, it was long, long before you had your babies. just that it was from another account that I no longer use, your voice is very relaxing. xoxo
You should show how you organize your things instead of just showing a bunch of products and your face. Would be useful since you have experience with all the things you have.
Have you ever done a "how I clean my tools" video? From the sponges, to the brushes to the powder puffs? I've read general instructions but I'd like to see how a professional does it. 😊
I wish you would of filmed more the desk with an over voice. Maybe the next declutter you could do it differently? I prefer when we see where you put away your make up. It would also be nice to see you declutter all the Ikea droors behind you. Tks

I needed this video so bad!! I'm in the process of decluttering and organizing my makeup space and I have lost all motivation! But I have to get it cleared out because I have a baby coming in 3 1/2 weeks and need the space!
Not judging, but I am always in shock when I see other women's makeup tables..lol Mine is organized, and I put everything back in its place when I'm done. Periodically, I move everything around and change it up. But always organized to keep me sane and to know where everything is.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video today!! I have been struggling mightily lately with clutter and disorganization (lots of paperwork and "stuff". I have been working hard on it and making excellent progress the past few days, but I think I overdid it. OUCH!! Right now my back is spasming. I am lying on my heating pad (90/90, writing this on my phone). Oh well. Like my WWII Navy veteran dad said decades ago, "No one forced you to join THE MARINES!! DOGGONE JARHEADS!!" ❤😂🎉

Great video that pushed me to start my own declutter. One question...have you ever tried the Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Setting and Finishing powder? It is something special. I have dry mature skin and it never settles into lines or look cakey and dry. It is pricey but a container lasts forever AND it comes in a mini size too. 😊❤️

Emily, your makeup always looks so good. I'm a makeup wearer (and I love the daily ritual) but I have deep set eyes, mature, saggy skin, blah blah, so I can't exactly replicate what you do, but your videos do inspire me to be a bit more adventurous. Thank you so much for being you. Happy New Year!
I’ve checked out Winkie Luxe in Target as well as Well People. It seems expensive for what it is and I would just rather go to Ulta and get a very reasonably priced Colourpop palette instead. If I’m going to purchase high end make up, I’ll go into that section and if I’m going to purchase drugstore make up, I’ll keep it in the Revlon, L’Oreal area. Winky Luxe and some of the other brands that are straddling that drugstore/high end line seem to be too expensive for what they are. There are certain products I prefer to buy on the high end and luxury price point but that is because they work for me. That said things are getting awfully expensive and I’ve been finding really good stuff at the drugstore lately.

One of the major differences between myself now and myself in the 2010s is I don’t force myself to do anything but neutral eyeshadow looks. I very rarely buy eye palettes anymore because how many neutral palettes do I need?
