if all goes right any kind of surgery is nothing your out its the recovering thats the hard part and painful the morning after a surgery you can definately feel you were cut open
Good luck ever seeing him again probably permanently traumatized. I don't think a kid that age should be getting any surgery unless their condition is potentially life threatening. Those drugs can have permanent affects on the human brain and how it works is unknown still.
