After watching your video I try to Programmering cas3 but when it comes to input dme Ian there is one more window asking ews isn how to read this isn from im608 plz help
Hi can I do this basically but with a CAS4? but i'm not replacing anything. Situation is the Cas module lost coding as someone tried adding a key via obd with an 'Xtool'. I don't know if its just the coding lost or if the eeprom/flash is corrupted. Now on Immo status scan, error is 'CAS no coding stored'. also when I check vehicle frequency, it says 'Unknown Frequency'. I already have the DME ISN..and pretty sure its a 315mhz. However, what if the eeprom/flash is corrupted and not just a lost coding? If its just a coding, how do i recover that if there's no backup. Ask the first guy and he doesn't know if he even backed up anything.
Great Video!! One question, I have a problem with my dme. I have another one from donor car. So my question is can I make backup from original DME and put the file to the new one via OBD? using Autel Im608
Hi. I have a problem with my dme. I have another one from donor car. So my question is can I make backup from original DME and put the file to the new one via OBD? I'm using THINKDIAG.
I have a problem, i replace the cas and the dme module, the car starts with a bunch of lights because the vin in cas dont match the car, i tried to change it vvdi prog, but then when i treid to read it saids vin faulty and if i put back the original vin works, do you think with this solution you think it will work ?
You need to have have the same isn and vin number in CAS, DME, and EGS. You can renew or clone the CAS and DME from original if you have or reset the egs to sync with new cas.
My ecu has water damage so I bought an used dme cas and I have keys to that . But problem is this unit has high miles. I need my original cas programed into this dme. Do you do this kind of work?
Yes definitely, if you send me your new cas, and instrument cluster I can align it for you. I would also need your original cas module to extract the original mileage of your vehicle. Another problem is now your vehicle is reading another vin number not your original which also needs to be fixed.
@@monsonlockandkey you can disable the keys and delete keys from coding function I believe but in diagnostic section and coding section. Go to car key memory and look it up.
How did you get the isn from the donor dme? Also you say write the vin from donor vehicle.. did you mean write the vin to Match the vehicle it’s being fitted to?
My xp400 will turn off and won’t communicate after trying to read cas2 I have to disconnect xp400 and reconnect and it will comunícate again it will do that over and over but my xp400 is good I’ve made keys or MB for example no issue! Any idea what the problem could be?
As much as I know xp400 has a issue like that which is a hardware issue. Your supplier should give you another one. Unless you put wrong connections which is very common like connecting obd to xp400

Good video, thanks. Did you use winfkp to update vin on donor dme?
We did not update vin on the car. The customer just wanted to have the car running. All I did was renew CAS and marry it to new DME.

after all these steps how do you edit the vin to match car in dme and cas

Great Video!! One question, I have a problem with my dme. I have another one from donor car. So my question is can I make backup from original DME and put the file to the new one via OBD? using Autel Im608
That depends on the DME type.
@@huyug1 my DME is MSV80
I will not recommend to used obd for that, to be safe use direct connection to ecm on bench is easy and works just fine and is safe
Hi thanks. so in this case should the ORIGINAL AND DONOR DMEs have same part number?
yes always unless you can upgrade by bmw specs
What about the VIN. The car will start and run but the VIN of the DME won't match the VIN of the car right?
Yes unfortunately

I do not think thinkdiag has those immobilizer functions yet. You will need a tool that does immobilizer functions on bmw.

I read the ISN through obd2. The original dme did not communicate so o just renewed the cas meaning adapted the cas to new DME.
So when fitted to the car what was done about the different vin? Abs system would not match vin so you’d end up with warning lights..?

What would happen if you chose flash instead of EEPROM?
It won’t write the file since the file size is totally different. EEPROM file is much smaller than flash file.

I have questions
Can you call me ? I have questions bout ecu replacement
Cas cant be maked virgin adapted yes
Yo
thankfully the EEPROM immo data you just saved is all you need to generate a new key to the car ( incase old key cant be programmed anymore )
If the key data is lost the old key cannot be reprogrammed before being virginized. In that case you would have to do all keys lost and that’s all.
good job awesome Autel. I have one myself! Please return the favor, thx
