As a big Blake Edwards fan, and just as big a fan of his wife Julie Andrews, I went to see this movie when it opened in 1981. OMG! The more you know about what still, to this day, goes on in Hollyweird when you are trying to make a halfway decent movie, the more you will laugh. Mercilessly funny and unafraid to go for the jugular. I remember it didn't do very well at the box office in 1981, but S.O.B. has grown into a cult movie over the years. Deservedly so. Thank you for posting it, so that more people can get the big belly laughs that Blake and Julie and Richard Mulligan, Robert Preston, Larry Hagman, Robert Vaughn, Robert Webber, Loretta Swit, Shelley Winters, and William Holden provide. And don't forget Larry Storch as the crazy fake Guru who delivers the eulogy at the funeral! More smiles to the gallon! Special notice must be made of Herb Tanney, Blake Edwards' friend, who appeared in a handful of Blake's later films, always billed as "something" Tanney. In this case, he plays the dead guy on the beach, and is referred to in the credits as "Stiffe" Tanney. Yep! More smiles to the gallon! Again, thank you for posting this wonderful movie!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Been listening to her autobiographies - 'Home' and 'Home Work' - and both very interesting, particularly from when she meets Blake and films Ten and S.O.B, etc.
I think the background music being played during that time was under copyright and the uploader couldn't get clearance to upload it. So the soundtrack was blotted out and S.O. B. is a silent movie briefly.
Robert Preston is hilarious in this movie. Richard Mulligan at his best. That's Hollywood for you. You have a bad picture they all leave you behind. You make a blockbuster they take every piece of you until there is nothing. Poor Felix. Gary is a snake.
Blake Edwards’ best movie, a complete FU to the Hollywood corporate movie industry.

Merciless satire from Blake Edwards, based on his own failed film, "Darling Lili." Hilariously funny, and at the same time incredibly mean-spirited!
Julie Andrews was 45-46 years old here. What a woman.

1:27:14 "You stole my film, I'll steal your car!!!"
At least the sound comes back on, but you can't hear anything they're saying in the bar scene.
Hehehe I like this kind of movies 😂😊
Thank you very much 🎉
Great movie and a superb cast!
Excellent movie, stellar cast, a very young Arquette
An hour and a half into the movie and the sound goes away. What's up with that?
Seriously? Then the sun sound cuts out again towards the end, just when she starts singing. Boo
Thank you for posting this movie. I love it.
What happened to the sound at ~1:34:10 mark? Either way, thanks for the upload. Been searching for this movie for awhile.

43:34 Ever wonder how Disney announce their ideas for the films they made recently and the ones to come?
Good movie.
1:20:45...Those "hills" were alive with the sound of music!!!
21:45
Why does the sound cut out for the bar scene at 1:33???
Do you also have "Victor/Victoria"?
A MUCH better movie!
Is this based on anyone’s love because in the beginning it says Felix has gone crazy
Hollywood trivia: The body of John Barrymore was taken from the mortuary by a group of his pals.
"RANGOON?!"
Yepeee
Sounds interesting considering H-wood wasn't as charming as the movies led us to believe as far back as the silents.

Polly-Wolly-Doodle DELIBERATELY twists "romantic" cliches.
