I bought the Drumeo quite kick practice pad. I have to be honest here, as I love the Drumeo community and all the lessons provided! It’s truly a state-of-the-art approach to learning the drums whether you’re a beginner just starting, or you’re an advanced player like I am. I began playing the drums in 1975 and had a piece meal kit. I had a paper route at that time and saved my money for my real first Pearl export drum kit. All that being said, I ordered the quite kick practice pad kit. I bought it at the promotional pre-launch price of $59. After “trying to attach it to a cheap single drive bass pedal, I could not set my bass pedal cam back far enough to get any real response. In fact I ended up stripping the bolt that you use with an Alan wrench. So then I let my son in law borrow my $800 double bass pedal, as we were both excited to watch this video showing the double bass pedal being used. I tried to order an additional beater and they were already sold out. I must be honest in saying what I’m about to say. -1st- the single quite practice bass pedal kit isn’t even close to being worth the promo price of $60! -2nd - It’s certainly not worth the retail price of $80 bucks! I can’t remember if I had to pay tax and shipping on top of the already ridiculously high price of $60! The concept is what I bought into. But you can’t set the beater back far enough to get any real swing of the beater. You really are forced to play it with you heel down. For what you get, the metal piece that attaches to your pedal probably cost around $12 to make, I can find straight beaters with the same felt head for $10 all day long. The three Velcro practice heads can’t cost more than maybe a couple of bucks to make. The angled shank on the beater maybe cost $7 to $8 to make. All in all provided Drumeo orders these in bulk, After researching this including the packaging it come in, I’d guess generally everything included cost maybe $20 to $25 to make. The margin has to be somewhere around 110% or more profit. I asked if I could please return the one I bought, but the box can’t be opened and it has to be in the exact same condition I received it in. I will say this to Drumeo’s credit!! Because of the fact they’re out of additional beaters, the generously added a full year to my Drumeo membership, and they’re going to contact me as soon as they have additional beaters for sale again. Overall I’m still happy with my quite bass practice pedal, I only wish is, if you were able to set the beater back far enough to get more swing in the movement.
Agree 100%. I'd love to support the channel and get a drum pad but the steep price plus shipping puts it well above $100. Might as well just go buy 4 different pads and set them up like a drumkit at that price...
Purchased the double pedal quiet kick, coffee mug and sweater recently! Wanted to show my appreciation for all the great free content I've watched over the years. Cheers guys 🍻
love how minimalist this setup is, definitely will be trying something like this in my own practice sessions :) (you can also tap your left foot however you please if you want to make it trickier on yourself, get that limb independence going hehe)
The stuffness of this motion suggests (1:55) that I could just get a really really high-durability spring and put it under the footboard so it eventually stops. I'd have to see someone practice continuous motion blastbeats on this. thanks for the video upload btw
Love doin a bosa nova with my feet (bass drum on the down beats and a's) high hat peal on the and's. then doing paradiddle with the accents varied with my hands
Idl why they haven't made a leg strap pocket practice pad like the 4 inch one I got from gibralter

Very dissapointed. I've ordered a Quietquick and additional reverse beater. After all the time waiting, and 22$ of additional custom taxes, Drumeo only sent me the quietquick. Now I've payed for a second beater that I don't have, and with the fear of pay again additional custom taxes for this beater when Drumeo send it.
Sorry to hear about the delay -- post-covid shipping has been hard to count on. It's definitely on the way but please shoot us a message (support@drumeo.com) if you have any questions OR still haven't received it in the next week.
It’s really bad that y’all didn’t plan ahead and have additional beaters for those of us that use a double bass pedal. Most everyone I know uses a double bass pedal! Good product bad planning.

It never hurts just to take it back and go through the motions, really nailing it. 👍
Agreed 🙌
Totally agree! 🥁❤️
All we need now is a quiet hat!!
That's called dynamics
They exist
@@KhemBMD in a form this compact and quiet? I've not seen anything like that. The L80s are much louder compared to this quiet kick
I should be getting mine delivered today can't wait to jump in, thanks Drumeo 👍
Thank you! 🔥
It's so Amazing

You're really killing the resonance of that Quietkick by burying the beater! :D
It’s what works for you!! Like he said

Great, it was getting hot rather than warming up for me, but then again, I have a lot to learn and don't play nearly as much as I should.

absolutely the ultimate
Great stuff!
Solid practice workout .
I just got a quiet kick. Mine is crazy Loud!! Even with the quiet pads. All kinds of squeeky noises.
This comes with top pads and the kick pedal is it a kit

I generally warm up by just playing my drums.

Might wanna check the Drumeo store again….
Oh! Did they get more beaters in? Drumeo said they’d email me as soon as they receive more stock. But thank you so much for the heads up!
@@CDrumaholic so I checked the Drumeo store again. They are still out of additional beaters so I don’t know what you were trying to imply?
please invite JD Beck to drumeo
This does nothing.
