  • It took injuries to wake Brandt up enough to realize he needs a better boot. He reviews White’s Handmade Boots Hathorn Tracker, and his nostalgic Carolina 924, as well as Carolina Elm Logger. #logging #whitesboots #loggerboots #hathornboots #unboxing #carolinaboots #pnwboots

    Just by looking, the Whites look more substantial.

    i love the Carolina waterproof and insulated boots yr around, I know many truckers and mechanics that wear them, never get steel toes as if you happen to kick a piece of steel with the toe, you will split the leather over the steel and have a leak in the boot. even if not in the woods, the tread keeps me from sliding around in the snow everywhere. my body just got to old 84 to carry them around all day

    Home working on contracts today and was eating lunch and seen this one. Man I will tell you I have really enjoyed watching your videos. Have you ever tried any of the Chippewa boots? They are good quality for a production style boot. Takes a little breaking in but they last pretty good. Can generally get them re-soled a couple times . Thanks again for the content and be safe out there .

      I haven’t tried Chippewa but I’ve heard good things. Thank you for watching.

    Im a lumberjack and buddy the number 1 thing i can tell you from this video is that you are wearing too tight of shoes.....the way your toes have grown so tightly together is not natural or good for your posture i would recommend getting wider boots man can really cause some problems in the long run

    • @BrandtAinsworth-ik5fm
      @BrandtAinsworth-ik5fm  7 місяців тому +1

      It’s certainly not natural. It’s because I always wore pointy toe cowboy boots throughout my growing years.

    Good video. Always struggle to find a good quality american made boot. Its seems a lot of the boot brands that used to be the go to for us blue collar workers have fallen off in quality and outsourcing production frustrates me.

      Totally agree. The trouble is you’re going to have to get the rubber band off the wallet for good ones, but I think you’re money ahead in the long run.

    How are they treatin you so far? I've been eyeing a set of Mule Packers for awhile now. Found a place down in eastern Ohio that carries Whites, in stock, believe it or not. Name of the place is "Charm Harness and Boot Company," and they're located in Charm, OH. Depending where you are located in western NY, probably a few hours drive for you, but for me at least, it offers me the opportunity, to maybe try certain models on in advance. Thus offering me insight to the way certain lasts may fit, before I have to spend the $400-$700 plus on the purchase. I live in Erie, PA. I imagine I could probably be there within 2 hours or so, tops, for reference. Hopefully you find this info helpful. Keep me posted on the "Explorers," if you wouldn't mind. I am curious as to your thoughts and experience with them. Best wishes......🥃

      Quite happy with them so far. Next time I’m in Charm, I’ll check out that store.

    I found some whites the other day at a second hand store, twelve dollars, I'm getting a wedge sole put on them but I'm excited (ironworker)

    You just scored, 200 bucks for a little over $700 worth of custom-made whites. You don’t get them like that out the box at any old shoe store someone had those are custom made on the website. 🙏🏽

    I like the Georgia brand a bit better than the Carolina brand, but they are both just temporary substitutes for the PNW heavy duty things that take months to receive. Wesco has lead time of 18 MONTHS now, not 18 weeks!!! Some of the brands will have some models that will ship sooner if you are willing to make compromises on color or other options, so that can speed up the process considerably from the custom shop.

      The Thursday "logger" boots are NOT real logger boots at all, but Drew's sent me a defective pair and I lost shipping money.

      I had to put an extra insole for the Elm to fit and then they still weren't as comfy just walking around the street as the G, but the G only came insulated, which may not suit for year-round use.

      That logger knot doesn't look like can do with the speed hooks... Many who don't lace all the way up, but those are only 8", so...

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy 9 місяців тому

      Yeah, the box is a little tricky...
      Yeah, I like the Lace-to-Toe look a little better but I guess that guy wore them outside and couldn't handle the arch support?

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy 9 місяців тому

      You need the lace protectors because the rivets will shred the gusset tongue.
