The coolest thing about Primus, is that they basically can make whatever sounds they want as long as it sounds good, and it does. I also think Les is the best on bass of all time.
Man, almost every song from Cheese makes me want to slam like hell. They must had their live act in mind when writing it. Not as much with their other records. Not that that they're bad. Just not as slam dance worthy. Jerry Was a Racecar Driver? C'mon... Oh. I'm old. We called it slam dancing back then.
Same with me on all counts. Actually makes me want to fuck and fight all at the same time -same as any one of the Stooge's classic tracks. Post-punk produced a lot of great bands, but NONE ever did or will equal Primus in pure originality and musicianship.
@@MrIggyPoop They are original as hell aren't they. In fact I remember hearing Les talk about how the label didn't really know what to do with them when they first came out.
@@PaulTheSkeptic My fellow Skeptic, hope you're well. Just found this gem and I thought of you. ua-cam.com/video/PM5I5oo1yKI/v-deo.html If you haven't seen it, the full live 1990 show at Sacramento's Cattle Club (one of their last club appearances) posted on YT is simply one of the most staggering performances ever.
Technically this song belonged to a drum machine, then Tim "Curveball" Wright, then Jay Lane, then Herb the Ginseng Drummer, but it's like the town bicycle, you knowwww
It’s so excellent that a band has members who actually depend on one another when it comes to their sound.
The drummer rocks this song!
Brian Rappleye go listen to Tim play it on the album, it’s fucking unreal
Just listen to to the primate version thats online that groove rocks even harder truelly look ik up

@@bartilliak Brain played this show, right? Obv, Herb joined a bit later.
I think thats brain, excellent style, les can pickem

@@MrIggyPoop I love that song. Thanks. I buy you one internet beer. Happy Friday.

I SAID RRRRIIIGHT!
LEFT
1:17
HEFFERS
the mask lmfao they look so lost
Yes sir yes sir !!!
I saiiid RIGHT! LEFT!
What bass is that? I know it’s a Carl Thompson but I’ve never seen him play that one before
He played it a couple of times (Laquer head live for example), but it seems like he went back to his old Thompson, and now the Pachyderm
It's called dark matter ( carl thompson's site tells a bit about it) ;)
Les calls it the anti-matter bass. He had it made by Carl just in time to record tracks for the anti-pop album.
i thought it was called antimatter
It’s his Antimatter bass
1:17 really they are thinking : this Band Sucks....
Son of a bitch dude this shit is good
lost alot of respect when the ginseng drummer left, this might regain a little...
drummers on point!!!!
What's with the slightly british accent
👊💥🤘
You are like a bit like me!!
How tf did Les go from this to duo de twang. Not saying DIO de twang is bad it’s awesome. 😊But man
Dude, he has had many side projects, but Primus is his baby. He will release something eventually.
@@Pcwizayylmao so what you think about conspiranoid ?
@@Faks.09 I liked all 3 but my favorite was Erin on the Side of Caution.
Sorry brain, but this song belongs to Herb
brain is a really good drummer though
