  • This weeks video sees us visit the Bala Lake Railway, in Gwynedd, North Wales. Our loco for the day is Hunslet 'Alice' which was built in 1902.
The line currently runs from Llanuwchllyn (Where all trains start and finish their journeys) to just outside Bala Town. You can read about the new plans for their extension on the website (www.railadvent.co.uk)
The railway is situated on the old Ruabon - Barmouth Mainline which ran to Barmouth via Llangollen, Corwen, Bala, Llanuwchllyn and Dolgellau.
Running alongside Llyn Tegid / Bala Lake, the railway calls at Llangower and other Request Stops along the way.
