I wouldn't mind this if it were not for the fact that the FDA approved for farmed and GMO fish to be distributed without any type of labeling. So we no longer have a choice as to what kind of fish we want to consume.
Here's a thought, stop being a luddite and get educated because GMO and farming is the only way to feed the population of the planet. GMO is the safest way to generate new food sources, unlike "organic" which is 1000s of times more likely to result in harmful mutations in the food you eat.

This is all fine but there are still Asian Etc...fish farms still flooding the world market with contaminated low-grade cheap FISH/SEAFOOD so there is still a big problem of knowing what FISH/SEAFOOD you are eating. So there is still a stigma surrounding this industry. So make sure your Sashimi is America-raised or Wild caught U.S.D.A. F.D.A. INSPECTED.

Nonsense, the US was an important player in world aquaculture half a century ago, but is not anymore. The environmental activists killed the industry in the US. Aquaculture was a small industry where the activists could get good PR and fundraising by killing an industry too small to fight back. However, the US did train the technology talent that has flowed around the world.

American fish farms barely exist compared to the third world fish farms. Almost all of our farmed fish is imported from poorly regulated farms fed fetilizer and antibiotics
