I'm running 2- b2 audio 8 inch rage subs at 4ohms with a Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bdcp. Pushing 1,000 watts rms. Super loud, clean, accurate bass.
yeah but what if your amp can run 3000 watts are 4 ohm and you sub is rated at 2500 running it at 4 ohm would make more sense then then 1 ohm and trying to handicap the amp to the lower power level to not blow the sub right
Hey bro, i ran into your channel trying to fix my truck stereo, stopped working randomly on my drive home. Sound went out but subs kept working. Opened it up and found a rp5 gm11. Moved poet over to amplified and got some sound back, but super low. Saw your video to bypass door speakers. Think that will work. Thank you
I got 2 6.5 dvc 4ohm subs in a ported dual enclosure. 300rms/600max wired for 4ohm to my amp that does 800rms @4ohm, max 2000w @1ohm. Certain bass notes(mainly the higher ones like in reggae bass lines) I get this mean rattling sound from the box itself. Would putting that cotton/sound cushioning material in the box help rid of that? At first i thought it was my sub rattling but then realized it was the sound of the box. It’s tuned for 40hz, and i have my subsonic set to around 38hz. And DS18 recommended a 160hz LPF so i have it set there. (my max LPF is 180hz so I turned it smidge down from there since there’s only 40hz/180hz number markings) playing other songs that hit lower I don’t hear the rattle, but when it hits that higher note it rattles the heck out of the box and sounds terrible. For example, the high bass note in “2chainz-Forgiven”. The lows hit nice and sound great, but when that high hit comes on it does rattles the box
The box is resonating at the higher bass notes . I'd reinforce the enclosure and find a way to tune it lower also
