I have been to a half dozen yarn festivals including Stitches Midwest some years ago. It’s a fun and unique experience and will leave you high on yarn fumes and laughter. I have seldom gone with a plan and have no regrets. I know you will have a wonderful time! Give yourself permission to take a risk and rejoice in the fact that you bought something that spoke to your soul. Enjoy, my friend. Don’t tax yourself for content, let it feel organic or don’t bother. Would love to see a bit of what it looks like but for sure want to see your haul and hear your thoughts.
Great advice! I love everything about it. Enjoy the experience, that's what it's all about! Go with a plan, but don't hesitate to be a little spontaneous.
Looking forward to your review. I was not aware of the event. Thank goodness I watched your video. The Saturday tickets were sold out online but I went anyway. I will comment my experience on your upcoming video 😊
My heart is bursting!!!❤ ❤ ❤I have the best time with you and get so excited every time we meet-up. I can't wait to attend Knit City with you, squish yarn, dream-up projects and meet all of the knitting folk along route. Let the knitting adventure begin!!!
So excited to have Knit City coming to Calgary this summer. I’m already checking out patterns that I would love to make so I will be able to buy intentionally plus a few hand dyed skeins for socks of course. Watching your video made me happy and gave me planning ideas. Thanks.
Have fun! I’m going on Sunday with my knitter daughter (for her bd). It can be overwhelming to attend one of these things. Just remind yourself it’s not life-or-death…just enjoy. Whatever you miss out on, you can buy later online. Great to have a short list of what you would like to make. I’m going to keep in mind 1 shawl, 1 summer top (and know what area of the colour spectrum. I often impulse buy a beautiful colour that doesn’t go with anything in my closet:), 1 slipover. Of course, I might see a sample sweater hanging in a booth that brings my plastic out of the wallet ;). Way way back in the previous century, I used to go to the Creative Needlework Festival, which was sewing, embroidery, knitting and everything else. At the Metro Convention Centre. Huge, exhausting, but fun!
Your excitement is bursting off the screen 😊. I will be living vicariously through social media. Don't worry about all of us, though...be in the moment and soak it all in. You can tell us all about it later 😊
I wonder if you reached out to the vendors about specific colorways/yarns you want to see, if they would include them for you. Couldn't hurt! I'd enjoy seeing some vlog content from the festival
How do you spell that first hat pattern you're looking for yarn for? It's beautiful and I can't seem to find it on Ravelry (I'm sure because I'm spelling it completely wrong lol)

So excited to see your picks, especially considering you need some pinks!

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! One day I will get there, but for now I enjoyed your excitement over it!
Personally I prefer the recap with a few clips type of video rather than vlog video + acquisitions video, but do what feels right to you
I had been wanting to go to the event but I broke my leg last week!! I will have to live vicariously through you!! Can’t wait to see the video. ❤
Oh no! I’m wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Blomstra ! For some reason, UA-cam deleted the descriptions of my last few videos, so I’m going to have to go back in and re-add links
@@highfiberknits UA-cam is a pain sometimes, thank you so much for the answer!
What was the hat pattern called?
Blomstra 😄
Say hi to my friend Yoriko Oki from Fibre Art Studio based in Vancouver! 😍
