Lol I chuckled when I seen the racing shoes and the racing gloves. 😆
Ehh gloves help a lot .. especially when they sweat a lot like mine do
Uses clutch but doesn't set it to manual with clutch 😂
Well,i can explain a bit here.
While i race, i actually need shoes, becouse of my painfull heels. It helps with easing the pain,caused by extended periods of driving. I don't use gloves though, but they help with preserving the wheel and not loosing the grip while you sweat.

FOR ANYONE WITH NO WORKING CLUTCH! you have to go to go to controls>change imput mapping>wheel>scroll down to clutch and remap the clutch to the pedal 👍
Takit thats on pc on xbox assigned clutch and set to manual with clutch still no go
thats not my problem at all, for me when I change it to manual + clutch it still changes gears without using the clutch, any idea on why is doing that? thanks!
@@gliding_ In Forza, the manual with clutch setting still allows you to shift gears without using the clutch, just with quite a bit of delay. It's just part of the game, not really anything to be done about it. But because of the delay, it makes racing impractical. So yeah, if your looking for a setting that allows you to shift only while using the clutch, it just isn't there in Forza.

@@DannyL2005 you're wrong my friend it use to work perfectly for me before my clutch and my gears were all working now nothing works on it unless I use a controller and manual with clutch you can still shift without a clutch but with damage on it destroys the trans like it would irl you still need to use a button of some sort to activate the clutch before shifting otherwise when you shift especially if you're flooring it it'll rev out at max rpm until the shift is done
Have the same wheel and shifter. I dont regret buying it makes the experience in racing games so much better. Bit of a learning curve but well worth it
How big of a learning curve is it. I am really good with the stick. I bought the G923 its still in the box what racing simulator and chair do you use? Thanks in advance
@@jackinralph1 i honestly just use a gaming desk to mount the wheel on, and as for a chair just a regular gaming chair, but a rig is best option for racing sims. I say give it a few hours of driving and maybe some tweaking in the options to make it comfortable for you. Huge difference from using a controller and a wheel. Youll see

@@jackinralph1 anytime. yeah racing rigs are preferred for racing but a desk a nice comfy chair is always good too.
what settings did you optimize? My wheel can't turn for anything, I can only turn when going super slow and even then I overturn or underturn everything.

When using the "manual" setting, tge clutch pedal does nothing, you can just shift. Only when you enable "manual w/clutch", does the clutch pedal actually function correctly. The problem is, you would have to use the clutch when using the paddles as well 🤦♂️ It is also not affected by the car you're in, as in Assetto Corsa. I wish there was a manual (car based) mode, which would use the shifter or paddles, based on the real life vehicle.

@@abhithkdas8778 Because a Lexus LFA doesn't have stick shift, or a clutch, but a Mazda Miata does. The game doesn't switch, based on the car you're driving. Have you ever used a clutch with paddles? I can tell you it sucks

I bought my G920 on Thursday. It arrived on Saturday. I set it all up, and play some FM7 and it was amazing. Just really felt awesome , and was pure joy to play. I purchased FH 5 premium, and was stoked to play with my G920.
Well I was disappointed. The game is near unplayable. Anything offroad the car just will not handle worth a shit. Cars/trucks/Jeeps just skid out of control unrelentlessly. My frustration level is over 9000. I messed with all the settings to no avail. I even went down the rabbit hole online to find help. Nothing fixed it.
I tried it on FH 4, and it works fine.
I am at a loss.
I'm working on a video at this very moment on the best wheel settings...stay tuned.

@@GeekStreet the G shifter doesn't work on fh 5 either for me.
The wheel works great with certain games, Forza motorsport 7 great, FH 4 nearly unplayable at certain speeds or off-road.
On FH 4 it was very bad for me

I’d bare in mind that anyone coming over from Gran Turismo Sport to play this expecting it to feel the same on wheel and pedals might be in for a surprise. It feels nothing like it. There are some good videos out there on what settings to use but it’s a very different experience overall.
FIXED THE G923 PROBLEM: hold the enter button during this blurry screen and press any pedal on your g923. Keep holding it and enjoy fh5 :)
What blury screen? I have g920 but it won’t calibrate when I turn it on. It doesn’t work with forza horizon 5, do you have a solution?
i would not call that a fix
because you have to keep holding the enter button and that causes problems when you drive by activity's also you do not get force feedback but it is an interesting walk around
@@roycemcpherson7545 the blurry screen he is talking about is the controller disconnect screen
as for your wheel not calibrating it should do that when it connects to the console or PC and if its not then more then likely something is up with your wheel or console/PC
so first thing first is make sure the power is plugged in if it is then try connecting the USB to a different USB port if that dose not work try connecting it to a different console or PC and if that dose not work you have a bad wheel

I've used this wheel honestly the gear changing looks quiet hectic its better to drive in auto mode. Also Forza horizon is simulator and very much different from real world. So its quite difficult to compete with your team or opponents using the manual gearbox.
Its easier to use manual on a controller only. But its still better to just leave it at auto . Manual only works best in Drag races and drifts.

thank you so much!, i might be getting this for my 16th birthday which is november 9th so also on the full release of fh5, but i might be getting the wheel and shifter tomorrow which is when we are celebrating my birthday, a guy was selling the wheel and petals with the shifter for 200$ cad and i told my mom so hopefully she bought it. im so excited to play fh5 and i am also excited for the wheel if i get it.

@dennis wright I already got him the g920. It was a pain but I was able to get one.
@@ksajak The mapping for the racing wheel only need to be changed for convenience. If the default mapping is fine for the user, there's no need to change them. I personally don't change them, since I've gotten used to the default one.

Hmmm not really a review. FH4 was notoriously difficult on a wheel. You should be letting us know how the cars handle with the wheel compared to FH4.
When it comes to drifting it feels like i have some sort of steering assist on even though I have turned all of them off. So not the best
Wasn't a review, just a video showing that the 920 Wheel Setup works on FH5... Also, I have played the entire franchise, FH4 is more than okay with the 920, better than a controller any day. Tweak your settings
its way better man like a worlds of a difference. fh4 was unplayable for me with my wheel and im having tons of fun on fh5. just find a good force feedback vid and itll be fine

Hope they've done something with the steering on fh5. On 4 it felt like driving on ice with the g920. Felt no difference whatsoever when changing cars 😒 then I discovered wrc9, it has far better feedback, got a feeling I'm going to be disappointed with fh5 tomorrow
@dennis wright very intermittent. Have to keep restarting the console, or switching usb ports on the console to get it to work (or a combo of both) I can't even say the wheels bad cos it works first time every time when I try assetto corsa, dirt 4 and 5, wrc9 and even forza motorsport 7. I've seen a message inside the fh5 game this morning 10th november 21- a hot fix is coming from the developers to address the wheel connection issues. What I will say is tho, when the feedback works the game its absolutely fantastic. What I've found is if I turn the console on using the wheel the feedback seems to work more often, but several times even after doing this I've had to switch the USB port on the console. I hope they fix it cos its an absolutely amazing game when the wheel feedback works

Mine is 55inch but if you mount on the frame closer to you, 28 to 32 inch is fine.
