Sick of people getting manager jobs on their name as a good or even legendary player. It works out very occasionally but most of the time it fails desperately.

If Lampard was ever named manager of my club I would be absolutely devastated and upset with the decision makers... His record is rubbish and I think players are more likely to listen to a man who did little as a player and earned his chance through his efforts and success off the pitch. Rather than a man who's done nothing since he was a player yet still trades on his name and success as a player achieved with the help of 21 other talented individuals.

Bisgrove wasn't in his position to be part of the recruitment process last time so cannot be counted but Bennett was there but not the decision maker and what involvement he had in Beales appointment, I do not know. Simon is getting out of control. His negativity has spiraled this season. In one show, he managed to criticize Rooney, Lampard, and Neville, Rangers, Souness etc. The worst bit was him calling Henderson a hypocrite for bringing politics into sports (I am not saying he isn't), and then Jordan proceeded to be a hypocrite himself by saying it's okay if it's a political subject he agrees with 🤪🤪. Constantly talking over Oneil was also not necessary. The icing on the cake was that when the Israel conflict was brought up, he went into generic media response mode, which he is constantly bashing players and managers for. The old board never invested after 55 and didn't support Gio with players he wanted - Wilson's choices. It all comes down to how sophisticated and complex your tactics are. If you are not good at that, you are not a good manager.
