oof - sorry to hear/see about this ankle roll. Time to wear a brace for a bit, if for just a little compression and support? I hope this doesn't compromise the "biggie" - just watch those #(@$*&(# rocks on the Leadville Marathon course - a few sections are just like running over loose rocks/scree, so take your time (even on descents). Hope you recover quickly, Steven!
Thanks, Eric. Yes, once I get back on trail I will be taping or wearing a brace for a bit. Good to know about the rocks on the marathon. Going to try to approach it like a faster training run, but keeping in mind the overall goal of training for LT100.
Hey there! I must say, your journey in training for Leadville has been quite the adventure! From tackling the smoky trails to embracing cross-training on the bike, you've shown incredible determination. Oh boy, that ankle roll incident was quite the plot twist. I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as you initially thought, though. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery! Looking forward to the next episode of your Leadville training saga! 💪🏃♀
So WIN is a… win? Listened to the Ryan Clayton on The Adventure Jogger podcast and appreciated hearing your multiple shoutouts! Your ankle knows how to heal faster because it has had to SO MANY TIMES! 🤣
What an incredibly beautiful piece of the earth to live and train... Darn, sorry about the ankle again! I know the struggle. I had a bum ankle from early childhood until recently. Years of air casts and physical therapy didn't fix it, until i finally trashed it ice climbing. After 1 month in casts and 4 months of constant physical therapy, this sucker is STRONG!!! There is hope, keep at the PT! It wouldn't be the first time you ran a tough race with a rolled ankle!
Good to see the training is going well Steven. It's always good joining in with Brand runs, a great way to try out different shoes 😀 Good to hear the ankle wasn't too bad & fingers are crossed it's fully sorted soon 🤞Keep up the cross training dude 👍
Ugh, that smoke must have been tough to deal with, but it was great to see you and Valan back on two wheels. That South Border/Bear Peak trail run looked amazing, so bummed that you rolled your ankle again. Kudos to your buddy for finding that awesome Air BnB
Seeing the title of this and the title of your newest video, I think I know what happens… Catching up on your videos now, after a week off! 😊 Ah, we’re getting the Smokey skies now.
Uggh hate to see that you rolled the ankle again. Hopefully it heals quickly and you are able to finish the Leadville Marathon. That’s CRAZY how expensive that hotel was - glad your buddy found a much better setup for you.
Ouch… I feel terrible every time this happens to you, Steven. In your corner, hoping for a quick recovery as your training continues! I was wondering about a brace/sleeve for the ankle. At least through this training season to Leadville.
Yeah they take quite a while for full recovery. Hopefully I can at least get stable and able to run by my race. Definitely going to tape up or wear a brace tho

@@UltraTrailSteven Smart - that M is just some bland granola, save yourself for the awesome glazed donut of the 100. Right attitude - go get it.

Haha yep if I can run 83 miles on a bum ankle/torn tendon then I hope I can do the marathon 😆 thanks, Kelly!!

Looks like an epic foot massager!
I love how you have the ability to show us where you came from and where you’re headed from the peak of certain mountains.
I’m glad the ankle roll hasn’t ended up being too detrimental
Yes the dreaded ankle roll! It is pretty awesome to be able to see where the run started and how far you've traveled and will travel. Thanks, Celine!
Great ep! Of course sorry about the ankle but loving the series and stoked for the network that you are surrounding yourself with!
Thanks man!
Bummer about the ankle roll. Good luck. Ice, jog in the grass after a few days maybe. Take it easy.
Yeah hoping to do an easy run in the next day or so

Yeah hopefully be ok to run the Marathon still. Thanks, Carey!

Thanks, Nick! Yeah I will tape/brace when I hit the trails again.
Time for an ankle replacement.
Give me some titanium like the terminator!
I’m still holding out for carbon fiber ones …
@@collinmorris ohhh even better!
Just wrap it in bacon! 🥓
@@Kelly_Ben haha that would attract bears! Probably 🤷♂️
Ugh. I hate ankle rolls! I don't think I heal from them all that quickly.
