I wanted to express how much I appreciate your videos. You are so amazing at teaching in a way that is simplified for anyone to quickly understand. Thank you MK!
Thank you so so much Jason!! Im so happy you found your way here! Currently working on 2 really useful videos that will change the life for many of us 😃👍 Thank you again!
Great video! Like I mentioned earlier, I returned my Rode 2 that I JUS received YESTERDAY, mind you, lol. I keep seeing everyone use these DJI mic system. It looks like it'll be worth the price difference!
The DJI Mic has to me been the most obvious choice for the most people. Don’t forget to check my other video comparing the DJI Mic to Hollyland Lark Max. It’s worth the time..
Nice thanks for this! Love the recording start/stop by using the link button when the receiver is connected to an iPhone! I do in-car driving and use my iPhone to record video. I attach my iPhone to the passenger side inside windshield and have to reach over the vehicle (or climb over the centre console) to start my iPhone video recording. This can be a PITA. So having the transmitter attached to me while I am driving and using the Link button to turn on/off recording on the iPhone, is brilliant! A small but important item for me. I've been using the RODE Wireless Go II system for a few years now, however don't like the fact that I can't see the screen of the Receiver when I am recording myself facing the camera, like in car reviews, interviews, etc. Always having to double check if it is on, recording, etc., is bothersome. Plus sometimes the connection fails or drops and I am not aware until after in post, when sound is lost. Yes I should have backups on but sometimes I forget to do that. Like that the DJI makes this whole workflow a bit easier for forgetful folks like me!
Thank you for such explanation I ever seen to explain wireless mic . I watched over 20 video about DJI wireless mic and no one explained as much as you did. Thanks for that. I love your video . Good luck.
This is a perfect instructional video! I loved how you also included your settings preferences, so not only did I learn how to use the DJI Mic but I also learned what a professional's preferences are!
6:00 - Thanks for letting people know about the Battery life vs RECORD TIME! I was wondering why from the box they said 15.1 hrs then months later of me using it I got 14.3 on Tx 1 and thought the battery inside transmitter one wasn't holding a full charge even though my receiver was saying they're both full. Several DJI forums just went to firmware updates and warranties. - Work Smart
Thank you for this informative video. I found out that if the DJI mic receiver is inserted into the lighting port of the iPhone, the recorded audio cannot be heard from the iPhone speaker unless you remove the receiver. However, if you pair Bluetooth headphones or AirPods to your iPhone, you can now listen to your recorded audio without removing the DJI mic receiver.
That makes me so happy to hear!!! Will be so cool to see if you think it’s worth a cup of coffee or maybe even two? 😘☕️: geni.us/buymeacoffe Thanks again for watching! 😃👍
I really appreciate all the work, skill, and thought that went into this video. I learned some new things about my DJI mic. I love this thing. It's awesome! Thank you so much for the video! You did a fantastic job!
im listening as i type this. my problem is that the computer won't read my dji. i think im recorded, and then when i plug up, nothing pops up, it just charges. hopefully i see how to solve this problem as i listen. thank you
Great video. I have a question. I always record just using one transmitter and I use mono. When I go to edit in Final Cut Pro, there are 4 audio tracks for some reason. In order to use audio editing like noise removal and voice isolation, I have to manually disable two of the audio channels in Final Cut Pro, otherwise the editing tools are grayed out. Do you have this problem and is there a way to make the mic not record these extra channels? Thanks.
Wow, you sold me. I was undecided... after watching your video I bought it on Amazon for $329 and it will be delivered tomorrow. Great tutorial. You gave lots of information that was a pleasure to watch. Thank you.
That make me so happy! Thank you so much for taking your time sharing! And welcome to my channel! I hope you will find a lots of nice and useful videos here 😃👍
Thanks so much for helping me fix an issue I had when I accidentally recorded my video in stereo instead of mono mode which had the audio only on one channel. I subscribed and liked the video as well. Thanks again! 😊
Wow! Your video is so much more informative than any other I’ve watched on the DJI mic. The photo and video recording tip using the link button will really help me. Thank you
I've watched a few of these since picking up the DJI MIC, but this was easily the most thorough and straight forward. Thank you for demonstrating each aspect of the menus on the transmitter. Also, thank you for the pro tips about the power button and link button on the transmitters. No more video of me pushing the record button on the phone and then having to edit that out!! You got a like and a subscribe. I'm about to watch your video on Synology NAS Beginners and DJI Mini 3 Pro even though I have neither. :)
Thank you so much. Both for you finding your way here and also for your comment! That was so nice to read! It really means a lot! Welcome back many more times 😃👍
Thanks for the very helpful video. Quick question. If I have the receiver plugged into my camera, does the transmitter start and stop recording when I start/stop recording on the camera? Or do you have to remember to start/stop recording audio for every shot? And FYI for everyone, this doesnt provide phantom power. I bought a lav mic that requires phantom power and it didnt work. : (
Hi! Thank you so so much for they super thanks!!!! 😃😃😃 Unfortunately the recording of the transmitter is not affected by the camera at all. So the receiver will record when you turn it on and will stop when you turn it off. Thank you again!
The current firmware update gives you an extra option on the LED brightness. You can now turn them right off so they do not distract if you/the talent are doing a piece to camera.
That’s so cool and so nice to hear! 🤩👍 Can’t wait to see if the value of this video was equal to a cup of coffee or maybe even two? 😘☕️: geni.us/buymeacoffe Thanks again for watching! 😃👍
I ordered a dji wireless mic with 2 transmitters. It has wasted a lot of my time, energy and money too. I connected the receiver to the phone and started 1 to 2 hours of shoot saveral days. But I got completely disappointed when I came to know that the audio got disconnected by itself half way through. I am dam sure that it's not because I didn't connect it properly. In fact I tried to connect it to the phone multiple times yet no positive result. Now I am utterly disappointed with this brand. Having ordered it online, I am completely perplexed. I don’t know what the solution could be. Please let me know if there is something I can do to fix it.
Oh wow, I didn’t know it could be used as an external mic for the pc!!! That’s so awesome! That means I can open my Reaper or Pro Tools or Audition, and record straight into it via DJI mic!! AWESOME!!!!
Hi there, thanks a million for this video, like everyone else I think it is absolutely the best out there. I’m curious to know how to increase the gain on the transmitter. The default setting seems to be very low because when I listen to the recording, it sounds very faint.
Thank you so much! You go into the mic settings and there you can increase the gain of the selected mic :) Have you seen my last video that I just posted where I start my hunt for an even better microphone system!?
Im using the Mono Safety feature but I only find one really quiet mono track in the files. When I bring it into Resolve, it says its mono with only one channel? When I record, I only have 1 transmitter out and the other in the case. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? All the firmwares are updated and this is a brand new DJI MIC 1.
Thanks for the video. Is there any small play in the clipper of the transmitter from left to right and vice versa? Especially when removing the magnet from the clipper by sliding it a bit with a thumb. If yes is this small play normal?
What a great video, I feel confident about a few things now and know that this is the product for me; the charging case is the one! I watched the whole video and did not forward at all. Keep at it, your channel will go beast mode!
Great video really enjoyed it and really informative one of the best on explaining all the break down of the mic awesome just got mine going to test it out in a lil bit thank you !
Great tutorial! I followed along with my own kit and it really helped. I also had been wondering why the Tx gain wasn't on the same screen as the sound meter!
Really nice, thorough video. I love mine. Just updated (2023.01.04) them to v02.00.72.87. Added auto power of feature for receiver. The receiver will power off automatically if disconnected from transmitter for more than 30 minutes. Added LED off option for transmitter. Go to TX Settings > LED Brightness > Off to turn off the transmitter LED and reduce the light affect during recording. Fixed issue: transmitter audio data was occasionally lost when recording for a long time.
Hi. Great video. Really helped me a lot. I bought these a while ago but never really used them. I have a question! Does mono safety work without the receiver?
Thanks for the video! Anyone know why using the button on the side to start and stop video recording on my iPhone may not be working? I have it mounted and plugged it. It’s recording audio when I hit the record button, but when I hit the top button it isn’t controlling the video record function on my phone. Thank you.
Hi Mats I enjoyed your presentation a lot! Thx 🙏🏻 Very informative and with a nice portion of humor 😁 within it. Keep up the good work please. Are you going to do a follow up, where you actually shows us how to set up the DJI mic both the software settings as Well as the placement of the gear? For example an interview. I notice that the option of turning of the LEDs, has been added to the software 👏👍🏻👌🏻 Kind regards Jan Meiner Denmark
I’m looking to do the same set up with my iPhone 13. I have been looking hard to see if the transmitter would work being plugged into the phone while in the smooth 5 gimbal. Have you had any issues with movement of the phone?
amazing video, which one do you think will be the best regular config for transmiter and receiver, I heard that I should use a high level on the transmiter and a mid-low level on the receiver to avoid a lot of background noise, but just want to check our opinion on it. ( I know we have the 3rd setting there to configure (the device/camera) but we can low that one out as well.
@mk-creator, I have every set up as you mention in the video. However, pressing record on the transmitter does not create a new recording file. Do I do anything wrong?
Hello dear Mats Thank you for your great video. I watched the whole video but couldn't figure out if you recommend the DJI mic for ambient sound recording? I want to use it to record audio for forest camping videos, not for voice. Thanks for your help
Hi, thanks for your video. I have a question, how can I record a voiceover and then transfer that audio to my MacBook? Do I have to press REC on the transmitter? Do I connect only the transmitter to the laptop or both or just the receiver? If so, how do I connect it? With the charging cable or with the USB - C adapter? Thanks. PS, I have placed the cold shoe, but it is impossible for me to remove it by applying a lot of force. I have already complained to DJI, but they indicate that over time it should loosen. Is that normal for their product?
Hello.. Thank you for this very informative video.. I've looked at your channel and can learn much so I have subscribed.. Please can you tell me if this DJI microphone set will fit the Go-Pro hero 7 black.. I love these mics but have been told it not compatible with Go-pro or Samsung phones.. I'm very confused.. TIA. 🤟😎
Thanks for joining! I haven’t tried myself but check the official compatibility sheet. Or try to connect the receiver to the USB-C port and see if it records the audio from the transmitter.
Hi How long does it take the transmitter to charge using the supplied box What is the total recording time when transmitting and internal recording? Thanks
Thanks for the great video. You were great at explaining every feature or the DJI Microphone setup. I am now a subscriber keep up the good work and look for your next video
Thank you from r this tutorial 👍🏻 I own this DJI MIC and still yet to use it in a real world situation. New subscriber here. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺🤝🏻
Hi there, I just bought this mic and was so happy to try it out - but it seems it won't work with my Samsung.. Do you know an alternative for a Samsung s23 ultra that has the same quality...? Any idea would be greatly appreciated... 🙏
Correct, the compatibility sheet do not list the s23 unfortunately. I would go for the Rode Wireless Go II: geni.us/rode-wireless-go-2 And then the SC16 cable: geni.us/Rode-SC16 I do have that mic as well and it is just fantastic! You have onboard recording etc. But you dont get a charging "box". That's basically the only downside. The links above are affiliate links so I would earn a tiny commission on purchases made via those links..
@@MK-Creator thank you so much! I actually discovered I can still use ot (ignoring the "not supported" message of the system). Wierd, but so happy I can use the dji mic in the end... 😊 Otherwise I'll go for the Rode with your link... Thanks again for your help!
Thanks for watching!

I was torn btwn the DJI & Rode wireless system, but after watching this excellent review, I decided on the DJI. Thanks. 👍🏼
Agreed that DJI should add a shortcut to the transmitter gain settings! Great video

How do you stop it doing the auto record 😅

Thanks for the very helpful video. Quick question. If I have the receiver plugged into my camera, does the transmitter start and stop recording when I start/stop recording on the camera? Or do you have to remember to start/stop recording audio for every shot?
And FYI for everyone, this doesnt provide phantom power. I bought a lav mic that requires phantom power and it didnt work. : (
Hi! Thank you so so much for they super thanks!!!! 😃😃😃
Unfortunately the recording of the transmitter is not affected by the camera at all. So the receiver will record when you turn it on and will stop when you turn it off.
Thank you again!
Thank you for being so clear in how to use this mic set up! I am so excited to try this out and begin my content creation!
That was very informative. I learned everything I needed to know to get started. Thanks!
The current firmware update gives you an extra option on the LED brightness. You can now turn them right off so they do not distract if you/the talent are doing a piece to camera.
Love the transmitter’s magnet demo!
How do I connect the DJI wireless microphone to a pc for PPT presentation in a seminar ?

Amazing! So happy you appreciated this video and that you took your time to actually share some words!
Welcome back at any time!
Fixed issue: transmitter audio data was occasionally lost when recording for a long time.
can we monitor effect of dji wireless mic receiver db gain using headphones??
Do you have to use computer to transfer files can i use just the iPad or phone
Excellent review.
🤩👍🏼
Hi. Great video. Really helped me a lot. I bought these a while ago but never really used them. I have a question! Does mono safety work without the receiver?
Outstanding Thank you very much
Thank you too! 😃👍
Great review, Thank You.

Can the receiver be charged using a power Bank or is it only with the case provided?
Thanks for the video! Anyone know why using the button on the side to start and stop video recording on my iPhone may not be working? I have it mounted and plugged it. It’s recording audio when I hit the record button, but when I hit the top button it isn’t controlling the video record function on my phone. Thank you.

Is it safe to charge the charging case with the transmitter and receiver inside being fully charged?
I’m looking to do the same set up with my iPhone 13. I have been looking hard to see if the transmitter would work being plugged into the phone while in the smooth 5 gimbal. Have you had any issues with movement of the phone?

@mk-creator, I have every set up as you mention in the video. However, pressing record on the transmitter does not create a new recording file. Do I do anything wrong?
i'm going to buy one, but i wonder if i change transmitter gain, is it affect the backup audio, thank you

TIA.

Thanks for joining!
I haven’t tried myself but check the official compatibility sheet. Or try to connect the receiver to the USB-C port and see if it records the audio from the transmitter.
@@MK-Creator Thank you for the info 🤟😎
Very in-depth and helpful video. Thank you.

Hi
How long does it take the transmitter to charge using the supplied box
What is the total recording time when transmitting and internal recording?
Thanks
Does the audio automatically comes wth the video or i need to download it?thanks
If you connect the receiver with the video recorder (like a camera) then the audio will be baked into the video 😃👍
@@MK-Creator thanks

Thank you from r this tutorial 👍🏻 I own this DJI MIC and still yet to use it in a real world situation. New subscriber here. Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺🤝🏻

Hi there, I just bought this mic and was so happy to try it out - but it seems it won't work with my Samsung.. Do you know an alternative for a Samsung s23 ultra that has the same quality...? Any idea would be greatly appreciated... 🙏
Correct, the compatibility sheet do not list the s23 unfortunately.
I would go for the Rode Wireless Go II: geni.us/rode-wireless-go-2
And then the SC16 cable: geni.us/Rode-SC16
I do have that mic as well and it is just fantastic!
Really useful video. So much more in depth than I've seen before. Thanks!
Thank you so much! Happy that you found your way here! Welcome back at any time. 😃👍
@@MK-Creator Hey guess what! Latest firmware has the option to turn off the LEDs on the TX. DJI must be listening to you 😅
Jup it’s crazy 🫣👍😎
