- Casiopea is one of the most influential Japanese jazz-fusion bands. Since their debut album released in 1979, they have been releasing albums and performing lives for 45 years.
Their music has influenced many musicians over the decades, myself included. After learning about them for years, I decided to give them a tribute by covering one of their all-time classics, Galactic Funk. Please enjoy and let's celebrate Casiopea!

Too underrated!!! Great job at capturing their discography!!!!
why has no one noticed this
THIS IS THE GREATEST CASIOPEA TRIBUTE IVE EVER SEEN! All the references had me screaming throughout, especially Andromeda Patrol! I can’t imagine how much effort it took to compile songs from every album in this arrangement! A bit surprised you didn’t include Mukaiya’s alternate keyboard solo that uses the B-section’s chord progression which he played quite often around late 1985 I think? But other than that, this is PERFECT!!
Thanks for the kind words! As you said, the late 85 version of Mukaiya's chord progression has the B-section chords, whereas the progression played between late 83 and late 85 does something different. I also didn't want to make it longer to keep its original impact. Aside from being more iconic, this is why I picked it instead!
Already a classic 🔥
I hope you get to live a long and beautiful live
This is the best present for everyone at Casiopea, and for us fans too. I wish you continued success. 🎉😂

oh yea 8:29 best part
and also 10:02 the moment you've been waiting for
Ça t'a pris combien de temps pour faire tout ça ?😲
J'ai commencé à travailler dessus le 2 Septembre 2023, donc presque 9 mois au total ! J'ai pris mon temps 😅
12:26 This drum solo is dated 1990, which source is it?
This references the first concert Casiopea gave after Sakurai and Jimbo left the band, replaced by Naruse and Hiyama. It happened on April 27th 1990 at Tokyo Racecourse. It's a fan recording, not an official release.
@@superaph7co.774 Wow, really?
I have a recording by a fan of the 1991 Tokyo Racecourse, but this is the first time I've heard the 1990 one.
I like CASIOPEA with Naruse and Hiyama joining, and I am especially looking for the 1990 recordings (including unofficial ones).
I was born in Japan in 2000, and the only way I can find out what happened back then is to listen to sound sources and other materials that “people who knew back then” have in this way.
If it is possible, can I listen to the concert recordings from 1990?
(I'm using a translation site, so I apologize if my writing is not correct.)
How is this version made?
I've seen your covers before thanks for the comment! Everything is made on FL Studio, every instrument is programmed.
@@superaph7co.774 Wow, thanks!
@@superaph7co.774 I was thinking it didn't sound like a band but like game music~
